I am hoping to test ride the Boss Hoss & the New Wing  cooldude

Anyone wanting to join in, we are staying at the Roomba Inn & Suites 133 S Ocean Dr Daytona.

Maybe Ride up to ST Augustine for Lunch, meet up with some of our Eastside Friends?

Chime in here if there is and interest. I will post this on the VRCC FL FB as well....Let's Ride !!

I would be interested for lunch meet up on Saturday and maybe some others will join in as well, heck I might even join you guys on the wing test ride IF I get to leave home really really early

Word of advise on the test rides, you really have to be there early, like a little before they open so you can put your name down on the sign up sheet, I would do the Wing test ride first since it should be a popular one this year.

Their test rides are lead and sweep controlled and not that long, just long enough for you to get a feel for the ride.

Maybe when we all decide to take the plunge for a wing we can do a group buy for a discount or at least cookies  Grin

We really need to start putting more miles on the rides we have before we warrent buying something the requires that much coin. I know my bikes are not getting their legs stretched enough. Also if it is going to turn into another scorching summer then we will be riding early and back in with the door shut no later than 11am. I know some don’t like the early thing but after the day Sherry basically fell off the back of the bike when we pulled up to the garage door with heat exhaustion, that was a game changer.  Unless this new wingiee dingiee has air conditioning  Roll Eyes

Back to the thread, I don’t think we will make this Daytona run as it is still heavy season for me.  Have fun.

Jerry,

Do you use those cloth necklaces with the water absorbing beads inside?  They about saved the wife's and my lives out in Colorado crossing the plains.  I'd throw them in the cooler at night and they would be cold and fat with water.   They cool the blood going to your head and help tremendously.  I believe we won  them at an inzane and just happened to have them in the saddle bag on the trip.

No and might be worth a try, however Florida adds humidity. The helmets are soaked when we get back and breathing for my wife becomes difficult.   Why do I live here?

to demo a Boss Hoss might cost you?  a few yrs ago it was 50.00, but it goes towards buying one.  Smiley  not sure if they are at the track, they weren't a few yrs back.   if I see them I'll let you know where, no promises.

Honda has never had a wing [any yr] to demo, but that could have changed?   most of the times they have the newest models to sit on only.

Lunch sounds good. I usually have a few people in town for this weekend, so I do what they want. But would like to meet up and introduce myself. I’ll keep checking in on when and where.

Saturday sounds good.
I think they have flat track races at the Speedway that night. I went once and it was very cool to watch. Late getting out of there but so what.

If I can get an estimate on how many people for lunch on Saturday the 17th,I may be able to get reservations for us. It may be hard to find a place with everything going on here.
Thanks.
