Hey all,

My starter button spring that holds the metal plate gets stuck down occasionally. I've started carrying a screwdriver on me to fix it since it only takes 5 minutes... but does anyone have a fix for this? I tried to pull the spring out and it didn't feel like I could. It's been cleaned using CLR and WD-40, but I'm still having issues.

Thanks

Clean, polish up the plastic, lube lightly with white grease. Should be good for a couple years normally...unless you've run aux lights off your headlight circuit without a relay? If so, add a relay...too much load on the switch.

I use a small razor knife to clean up the groove the contact rides in. That's the part that usually gets stuck.
