I got the HitchDoc and I think the HitchDoc looks better, less obtrusive (in your face) than that one, and that one seems to appear much lower in height than the HitchDoc....

I have a Hitch Doc.
That one looks pretty flimsy.
Had a 1200 Gold Wing with one like that. Lost my trailer when it broke on the Miami bypass at about 80 MPH............... NOT a pretty sight...........

My Hitch Doc survived a rear end bump at Daytona about 4 years ago.
I usually have an avenue of escape when at a stop light, stop sign and etc.
This particular time I run into an old Marine Buddy, so I had pulled up by his door and we were chatting while the light was RED.
Drunk pulled up behind us and went pow. Bike went forward, I let the clutch out and pulled in front of my buddy. Driver ended up out in the middle of the intersection in the middle of the front door on a Ranchero. Restored one I might add. Being Drunk in Florida, your insurance is worthless as hell. I still have a mechanic's lien on the guy. which I'll probably never get. If I do it will have to go to my Insurance company to cover what they paid me......
Cops were on his tail and got him for DUI............ The hitch took all the blow and only scratched the ball cover.......... I'm sold on that big ole heavy expensive piece of chrome......

I have one of those on my standard now, and I don't care for it. It has a lot of movement from side to side. It could have been reinfored a little better. It is nice looking, though.

I have had each and yes the Hitch Doc is very over engineered which makes the one you are looking at seem flimsy, trust me it is not flimsy! I had a Hitch Doc that I installed on my Black 1999 Interstate to tow my home made trailer. No good closeups of the hitch but... It was a good hitch very solid. I wrecked the Black 1999 and bought a second (2000 Blue and Silver) Interstate that came with a Bushtec trailer and Hitch. The one I have on my Blue and Silver I do not have any really good pictures of but it looks the same as the one in your link. This one appears to be extremely lightweight compared to the Hitch Doc but it is still a great hitch. Bushtec sells a lot of trailers and hitches for them as well I am sure that the one you are asking about is a well designed and tested hitch. I actually prefer the lightweight one that came with the Bushtec trailer. It does what it is supposed to do and does it well. Plus it is pretty easy to install and remove without taking the saddle bags off like you will have to do with the Hitch Doc. Of course this is not important if you plan to install it and leave it.
