I will not be doing any work for a couple weeks. Spent last Sat night and Sun in Tampa General Hospital.
Seems some of the drugs I was taking for my foot gave me a bad reaction, lots of extreme pain and sat night could not even walk. Something in the meds causes a swelling in my lower back and pinched off the spinal cord where I have a couple bad disk's. had  a  bunch of shots in the lower spine, getting better but not doing much for a while till this heals completely. at least the pain is mostly gone.

Sorry to hear it Bill.

Man, we are hearing a lot about this..... doctors are great, if they don't kill you with the medicine.

They did a fantastic heart valve on my mom a couple months ago, but almost killed her with the medicine.

The rehab from the heart valve was a short week.

The rehab from the brain bleed and it's seizure (from the medicine, and they admit it completely), was months, and ongoing.

It's like............ dude, you eat it first.

I've never taken a regular med in my life.  But if I had to, my number one question would be, are you prescribing this to me because I really need it, or is it because you're afraid of being sued if you don't prescribe it to me?

My number two question is.... OK, you're giving me three things, and I'm already on three other things, does anyone know if these six things together will kill me (or screw me all up)?  I mean, all docs are supposed to pay close attention to any other meds you are on from other docs for other reasons, but I am not at all convinced they are doing that.   It's only safe to assume they aren't, and on you to line up all you bottles at each visit (to any of them) to remind them.  (And pull out a digital camera and snap a picture of the meds lined up with his face in it to make your point)

i guess the irony of it is my tendon feels fairly healed up, but still tender. They just screwed every thing else up. I had a couple nerve blocker shots and some stuff to take the swelling down. seems to block most of the pain, but still can only walk short distances before the muscles cramp up. going to take a while.  I had a bad experience a couple years ago, was admitted for a cracked breast bone, and the dye they used for a scan almost stopped my heart, went from one emergency room to Pepin heart center to fix the slow heart beat. I guess that is why doctors call it a practice. Just wish they  would practice on some one else.  tickedoff

For me anyway,  I've never gotten better relief from orthopedic ache, pain or injury from anything on earth better than 20-30 minutes of hot bubbling water (especially if you can stick the injury or sore spot right on a water jet).  Add one drink, and just wheel me to the bed for the best sleep you can get this side of deceased.  But any more than one (drink), and you can drown in there (if no one is watching).

My little four man Jacuzzi (all you need) out on my deck has been winterized and not hooked up for about 6 years now.  I just got tired of the continual upkeep, and water tuning and changing and electrical cost.  It's only a four man if you are real good friends with those sharing it, otherwise it's a two man.

Bit of a drive, but if you want it, it's yours.

We, my sister and brother, went thru the same thing when my parents were alive. The different medicines the doctors kept prescribing had advers reactions. I belive my mother ended up 3 times in the hospital and my father twice. You would think the doctors would know how these drugs interact, but we felt as if they were experimenting on my parents.
Get well soon grumpy and always ask questions, unless you want to be their gynny pig.
