The snow's just starting to stick now in my section of the commonwealth, and stick it does. Still has some rain mixed in, and it's sticking to the wires and trees pretty hard. Please don't lose power, please don't lose power... Stay safe, y'all. Spring's on the way. In like a lion, as they say.

Heavy wet snow brings down trees/branches/and powerlines....
Hope you stay with power through the night

Precipitation started here close to an hour ago....
No snow, but every other form or precipitation is falling from the sky...
It is bouncing off the driveway/truck/roof/and deck.........
Wind hasn't picked up yet....

We lost power about 4:00 AM but thankfully for less than an hour. Around 5:30 AM I was out snow-blowing a little over 9 inches of heavy wet snow. Lots of pine limbs down in the yard. One small pine got topped, crashed down on part of the deck and sheared of my wrought iron mounted bird house that was screwed into part of the deck. Another small pine got taken down close to the one that topped. Going to be lots of spring clean up this year.

On the way to work, the majority of the traffic lights were not working and I saw multiple limbs and power lines, downed. The main entrance to the office park was closed because of down lines. In fact the main access road was not even plowed. Had to come in a back way and encountered even more road closing with trees and power lines in two places down across the roads. Probably should have stayed home, but I did that yesterday (which was a waste because of the late start of the storm) and didn't want to do it again today.

We have power at work, which is  not surprising. My company produces pharmaceuticals and we have 15 emergency generators for back-power around the campus. I'm hoping for a better ride home tonight.

 Cool

Just got power back at the shop. Hopefully that means Bernie gets it or has it back too. We had 16" of heavy wet crap at home and in Nashua where I plow. After being up for 27 hours straight, (work then plowing), when I got home Kathy asked if I wanted to open presents and celebrate my birthday. I said unless one of them is a pillow I'm headed for bed.
