what do you all think of this one?

https://madison.craigslist.org/mcy/d/1982-honda-gl1100-goldwing/6522285188.html

once it warms up if still for sale in 2 weeks,  might go test drive this and sell the 83 v65 magna for 1600 or so?

appears to be in near mint condition and since for sale near 1 month now, might go down to 2500?

at least worth a test drive right?   Roll Eyes

1100s before '84. I believe 1200s were '84-'87. cooldude

84 was the first yr for the 1200.

I have a good 84 Standard project bike for sale if anyone is interested.

Sure glad that's not closer, I'd be in trouble 2funny
Always liked the "naked" Wings & the 1100 was the most dependable flat 4 they ever made IMHO.
The '84 1200's are highly coveted (being last year factory naked & first year 1200cc) but they were prone to mechanical issues.
That '82 isn't even broke in yet!
Jus' like the Valk, it'll run forever cooldude

It’s missing the seat rail.  Good luck finding one.
82 does have the self-canceling turn signals, make sure that works. It relies upon an added speed sensor on the speedometer and an electronic module that is “hard to find”. That also makes the 82 a one year specific speedometer (you can use an 83’s, but that has a red overdrive indicator light instead of the amber rear shock pressure low warning light).

All in all, that bike looks nice but for that kind of $$, you can find 83 or 84 Standards which have a true overdrive which the 82 lacks, TRAC anti-dive shocks, linked brakes and alloy wheels along with zero psi capable rear shocks.

I’d pass unless you can get it for ~$1800. My $.02, having owned an 82 for >70,000 miles.

I don’t know if it’s a good price or not. But it’s a nice looking bike.
