Hold on now. I thought it was Ford trucks that you hated ? If I HAD to have a full size American Made pickup truck, a Ford would actually be my 2nd favorite (#1 being of course the Made in the Republic of Texas Toyota Tundra) but it's a Dodge pickup the father in law keeps trying to foist in me, not a Ford, so I don't have one of THOSE in my garage right now...

That's part of how the Tesla rocks so hard... #1. is 100% torque available immediately from an electric motor, #2 is 4 separate motors, one at each wheel, each independently monitored and computer controlled to keep all 4 wheels JUST at the edge of breaking loose, providing maximum acceleration, on a wheel by wheel basis...

Impressive, not many people can row a stick to sub 11 seconds in stock form.

I just like taking it low & slow in my 'ole Coupe DeVille. Residual values of new Caddies don't make a very good investment. 331 c.i. overhead valve V-8, bullet proof 4 speed hydromatic. Olds & Caddy introduced 12 volts in '53, all the voltage I'll ever need.

In case anyone is interested, the new Corvette ZR1 went 214.88 mph on a closed course in Germany. But if you win the lottery you may want to wait for the new mid engine C8.

Been hearing that rumor for a long time, will believe it when a midengined Vette is sitting in the show room. Rams

i'm old school muscle. for me and my "lottery winnings" it would be an Olds '68-'69 or '70 Cutlass or 4-4-2 w/ Muncie 4 speed. ragtop would be first choice but hard top not bad either. manual windows aren't an issue at all.

I already won the lottery.
...I was born in The Republic of Texas.
Anything beyond that is just gravy.

Joe....in the Papenburg video for the ZR1 that is Mike Ryba in the right seat. The other video is the good old MPG circle track. How many months of our lives did we spend on that. I do miss calibrating those cars but not the BS that went along with it. I calibrated Corvettes, Camaros and CTSVs for 8 years.

Yeah, go ahead Bink, rub it in. You did the fun stuff(cars), I did the wrok stuff (trucks). It's all good, it's not like we could just do what we wanted any way, had to get the data.

Ya' get a lot more opportunities to take advantage of a quick 0-60 and/or 1/4 mile car than you do a top end car, but if that's your thing, I'd prefer to keep my money here in The Republic of Texas: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gWAavCjVQvM(I know, I know, it's a LOT more $$$ than the little bow-tie wearing piece of garbage in my garage... ) or, BETTER YET go buy a used supercharged toyota tundra 500+ hp and 500+ lbs. of torque and smoke 95% of all normal vehicles on the road for around 25 grand tops used. Back when Toyota made superchargers as a dealer installed add on for around only 5 grand or so, am surprised more did not get it since although you have to then use 91 octane gas, the mpg also goes up as well and oh boy, so does the 1/4 mile times as well. Not bad for a vehicle that far outweighs all sports cars. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=11W7c7nteYo&t=255sone set of tires am sure toast after those burnouts https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bb9MNYFwUFAhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fa8JI5ZdW_Ihttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=11W7c7nteYohttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rwl-VCdQ2koPLUS, made right here in good old USA in San Antonio TX with more American made parts than the Big 3 offer.

all full sized truck mfgs. have their strengths and weaknesses. At least around my area and guessing most places, the tundra holds their resale value the best and most reliable, best bang for my buck, IMO. Not the fanciest gadgets pretty plain jane as compared to Ford F150 options, but I never get them fully loaded anyways. I just wish tundra being the only one still left not having a 6 1/2' bed crewmax/crewcab would get their act together and build it, but the tundra double cab I have by far has the most rear seat legroom of any ext. cab out there plus near full sized rear doors on the ext. cab version plus most comfy rear seat in the double cab/ext. cab version, not that I sit back there since driving anyways... For ford to still have the suicide doors on their ext. cab version shows you how outdated they have become in that area, but then again maybe things will change since just found out today that ford is dropping the fusion and taurus cars soon which i think is a HUGE mistake just to concentrate on trucks and SUVS for the most part. market share will drop for sure for ford not good.
