The big blowout, i.e., wedding! ($45 mil....who pays for that?)

I kept telling my wife I couldn't wait to see the wedding take place in the UK. When I said that she was surprised I had any interest whatsoever.....which I didn't. Told her it meant all the bloviating would be overwith finally and we can again concentrate on it from the politicians....meaningless as usual but closer to home. So this morning during breakfast, I kept turning the TV to the channel that had the Swamp People killing gators. She got a bit irritated when I jokingly said "let Meghan try that with a tiara on her head" just as one of the good ole boys capped one off in the head of another gator. She then turned to me and said "you're really doing a good job of being a PITA." To which I responded; "ok, for that, tomorrow I'll burn b'fast even more."  To which she answered....."impossible." We had a good laugh over it, she stood up, kissed me on the cheek and said "I'm serious."  I kissed her back and said "so am I"....then turned on the gator killers again.

My work here is done for the day!

NO disrespect to the British Royal family but I could care less. I put ALL that "stuff" in the same folder I do with that family that starts with a k in their last name!  c b s took over some time slots of a few of my favorite reruns.  Near bout 0500 local I had a head call. Til you mentioned it and my m s n home page had it on every other page I near fergitted it-near.  I hope and PRAY it drops off the radar come this Monday A M.  They-royal family-didn't send me airline tickets nor hotel reservations nor the clothes and the money needed to attend. You'd THINK with a 45 mil budget they could have fit me in!  RIDE SAFE.

I paid somewhat less for my daughter's wedding... George Clooney sent his regrets, too... alas... sigh. At least the women who did attend my little girl's didn't have to wear a ridiculous hat. Much ado about not much, in my humble opinion, but... Some folks put a lot of stock in such goings on.

Like you, we missed the big event here, also... No gator killings for us, though, we watched Sheriff Andy Taylor dispense his special brand of wisdom... much more of that on that spectacle than on the networks, too! Just sayin'...

Like you, I'm glad to see TV return to normal now that the big event is at long last over... No more about what Meghan had for breakfast, or Harry likes for after shave... Just plain ol' routine, straight-forward, non-stop Trump bashing.

Speaking of which, Rep. Maxine Waters announced new developments on the impeachment front. It seems a former maid in one of Trump's hotels has come forward and claimed she witnessed him personally cut off one of those 'Do Not Remove' tags from a pillow back in '76. Things could get really serious this time!

If the Royals big to-do's over there help keep up national pride and morale, I say good for them. 

They had the best dressed soldiers in the world a few hundred years ago.  They made good targets and we shot them. 



It's all a matter of perspective.
