I’m sick of fighting with a low quality strap, anyone? Brand?

I'm completely satisfied with the ones Condor sells. http://condor-lift.com/condor-products-towing-recovery-logistics/accessories-condor/condor-ratchet-tie-downs?sort=p.sort_order
I bought 2 sets when I got a Condor chock some years ago and liked them so much I got two more and tossed most of my old ones in a box in the garage. The soft straps are good quality, also http://condor-lift.com/soft-ties
I keep the old ones for things like woodworking clamps and whatever.

Yah,  have several dozen of cheapo ones and none of those lasted long strapping down ATV's on bouncy trailer.  I found an orange set on amazon.com better quality with greater strength.

Cargo Buckle Jerry.  It's seat belt width and you need the strap and an S hook adapter if you want a hook on both ends.  I fought those old type more than I wanted to and found these years ago.  I had 4 for each bike that we had in the toyhauler.  You just hook the bottom, pull out the other end like a seat belt and tighten it up.  To release you press one tab, unhook and it rolls itself up.  Couple of trips to Colorado and many to N. Ga. and N.C. never had a problem with them.

Got the orange 1 inch ratchet straps from H/F and have been happy with them. I used to flat bed a while back-O  K a Long while back-and pretty fair quality of strap from H/F. Fergitted to rekemember what strength they are but the 4 I tied my Phatt Ghurl down with were More than sufficient. IF I needed to replace them I would purchase the same item again.  cooldude RIDE SAFE,
