I've always felt if someone....anyone....goes to any length or expense to cover the tracks of their past, then they usually have something to hide. As for the "no scandals" comment I heard him say, that is kinda funny. Re. the post title, I'm always somewhat amused by the term "progressive politician" or "political progressive" when applied to certain members of the politcal scene. The term "liberal" is often thrown into the use of either of those, which is where I find the application of "oxymoron" appropriate. To me, being liberal does not connote progression, often getting quite the opposite results. I find it a bit of an oxymoron, a term which in itself is actually a single word made up of two separate and opposing definitions, i.e., the word "oxymoron" is an oxymoron. As applied to "liberal progressive" or vice versa, I find the definitions and results usually move in opposing directions.
Speaking of liberals, I rec'd. the item below in an email and found it rather amusing. I have no idea(or care) if the young woman is being facetious, just found it kinda funny. I wouldn't be surprised if it were an honestly felt statement on her part, just wanted to give her the benefit of doubt. As for the heading above the pic....bullseye!
"After an exhaustive search, the Democrats have found a person capable of filling Nancy Pelosi's shoes."
