27 would be acceptable to me running this big girl that hard. My goal with the belly tank was to get 200 miles per fill up, I usually stop before that to stretch but sometimes out in this country fuel stations can be few and far between so a buffer would be nice. Got a long weekend coming up so hoping I find something to blame   :cooldude:

AMAZING!  That you Guys are milking out that kind of mileage, at these speeds!

The Valk's came with larger engines, than most small cars did, back in the day!!

I am not a "tour" rider anymore.  Just a "fun" rider, these days of late.  Long story.

I could care less what mileage my bike gets.  When I get low on fuel,  "FILLER UP"!!

The only time I care is when I'm down to a gallon and the next station 45 miles down the road. I might have dipped to to low 20's last night. A side wind at 45 out of Amarillo for 150 miles was kicking my butt.  :)

Stock '02, cleaned/synced carbs, Memphis Shades fairing, commuting at 75 mph, I consistently get 24 mpg.

Timing wheel always to be stock, air filter isn't excessively dirty. I double checked and with an Avon Cobra front at 41psi and ATT rear at 43psi I'm at just a hair under 4000rpm at 85mph indicated. Maybe she just likes the fuel
