Met a guy today name was Randy. I was crossing the street beside the hospital after surgery today and a block away I see the unmistakable flat six that the phat girls possess,he pulled into the gas station across from the ER so I walked over and spoke with him about his lady. She is stock except a few peices of chrome, and a ragnar cut exhaust. She was a beautiful ebony princess. Spoke with him  for a few minutes and exchanged #'s told him about this place and to ignore a few posts here Roll Eyes
Hope he stops in sometime. Always good to see a Phat Gurl out and about.

I met a rider Saturday night who has a 1/S.

Never heard of this forum.

He has some tech questions above my pay grade so I suggested he ask questions on the Tech board.

I actually met two fellas, brothers. A rather eclectic duo I must add, lol.
I stopped in at the local dealer right before leaving for Inzane this year. Ran into them in the accessory area. They were both sitting on the floor. One holding hi-way pegs and the other a backrest bag, reading the packaging. Had to see it. They both must of forgotten their readers because, both had the packages about 2"'s from their noses.
Somehow and I do not remember, I heard them mention "our Valkyries". Struck up a convo and they both own matching burgundy and cream ones. Do not remember the year. It was a rainy day so none of us were on our machines. First thing I asked, "you guys going to Inzane"? Deer in headlights expressions.  coolsmiley That's when I explain about the VRCC and event. They had never heard of it! Now I had deer in headlight expression!  uglystupid2 I suggested they look us up and join.
Call me naïve but, I just figure if you own one of these beautiful bikes, you belong to the VRCC!   cooldude

I pulled into the grocery store 2 days ago and saw a black n jade setting in the lot. Asked inside who owned it? One of the cashier said the butcher. I thought I was the only one around here with a Valkyrie, but guess not. Never see a jade n black either if I do see one.

Looked at the bike for a few and was a little disappointed in the care, but, WTH it isn't mine. Never see Valkyrie's in this neck of the woods. Now I know there is at least one around here.

Stopped for a break at a convenience store a month or two ago near Prattville, AL. A guy in-line there ahead of me inquired about 'my ride'... Turns out he has one too (his third since they came out). He not only knew of the VRCC, when I told him my handle, he said, "You're the guy who writes those looooong stories." Yep, that'd be me...

Said he almost never posts, but he's been visiting the board nearly daily for years... Knew RedValk and the others locally who used to ride and post, and he still lurks even though most of the others have moved on... It was a very pleasant chat, and a mild surprise meeting a fellow rider that way... especially one who knew of this rambling trekker...

Anytime I find myself in conversation with a fellow Valk rider that I've ran into on the road somewhere, I always ask them if they're in the VRCC.

It's been about a 50/50 mix of have and haven't.

Not only am I surprised when they've never heard of the VRCC, I'm even more surprised when they seem uninterested in the wealth of technical information that is available here.

I found the VRCC in 2006 right after i bought my first Valk.

I immediately joined the board and soon began to benefit from it.

Found out about an event called DOTS that was being held in Johnson City, TN and decided to attend.

There I met others and began to make friends.

We attended Inzane there in 2007 & 2008 with more of the same camaraderie.

Because of this site I have been able to do most of my own maintenance and make some repairs that

otherwise I would not have been brave enough to attempt on my own.

The wealth of technical knowledge alone is reason enough to belong here add to that the friendships and camaraderie and well, I can't imagine being a Valkyrie owner and not being a member here.
