I see nothing wrong with that meeting, in fact that is exactly what I would expect from Trump. As a negotiator, I am sure he would not want anyone else in the room. That way he could read the body language that Putin exhibited during their conversation.

A little while back Oss started a thread about political discourse and opened a discussion about why it is so hard and what can be done.

While thinking about the subject and seeing the positions those on the left have taken, (the above link to the story is a prime example) I saw a parallel with the perpetual peace negotiations between the Israelis and Palestinians. The Israelis go into discussions with a 2 state solution in mind and make overtures to that end. The Palestinians go into the discussions with the total annihilation of Israel as the only acceptable outcome.

How do you negotiate with that? How do you even have a rational discussion with such people?

Irrationality is the norm for mainstream Democrats now. Feed an hourly dose by the likes of CNN and MSNBC.

These are just unbelievable I wonder why they are so upset. The no boarders societies that they push are much better served by meetings like this, yet seemingly achieving their goals and in a historic meeting they are off the wall. Unless only they know the way to open boarders.

Now the other thing is corruption, what if these same politicians were playing it dirty with Russia. Like Hillary getting millions and speaking engagements and even Brenner. What if the narrative of Russia as our enemy isn't the true narrative but the stuff that control of the people is made of. The Dems are scared to death about what is going to come out.

As for the media if you get your news and updates from the media you are lost.

I've asked a few times, just where is that line that would start to turn his supporters against him. If this situation isn't it, where in the snuggle is it? Doesn't yesterdays performance show ANY doubt in your minds? Ask any questions?

What would you be saying if it was Obama? I think THAT is the question.

As it relates to the DNC hacked server this is my perspective.

The DNC server is hacked. Prior to that the DNC denied the FBI's request and offer to secure it.
After it was hacked the DNC denied the request from the FBi and other agencies for a forensic analysis.
(I am simply recalling various reports I've heard in the past)
The DNC then had a 3rd party computer firm do a forensic analysis of the DNC server and the report from that analysis was sent to the FBI and other intel agencies.

This report from the 3rd party computer firm, paid for by the DNC, was the genesis of the intel communities analysis of the DNC hacking and continues to be the basis of their current analysis. At this time I am unaware of any US government intel agency or law enforcement agency that has done their own forensic analysis of the DNC server.

The original report said that Russian software was used to hack the DNC server. I don't doubt this.  But the conclusion that the Russians did this cannot be gleaned from the simple fact that Russian software was used. Anyone with such skills can find and use Russian software. They don't have to be Russian.

The hacked DNC server yielded a treasure trove of emails documenting DNC corruption. These found there way to Wikileaks where they were published. The founder of Wikileaks stated that it was not Russia who brought this information to him and I believe made the claim that the source was not Russian either.

So even if still want to lay this on the Russians I still am lost on exactly what the motive was and what they were trying to achieve. I just don't see a plus side for them doing something like this. Unless they did it just for fun.

If you answer "They wanted to support a Trump win" you have to explain how the hacking accomplished that when, at the time of all this, Trump was not yet the nominee and the conventional wisdom was saying he would never be.

My view of this is Russia wasn't a party to this. They just got their software used. I believe there was a different country involved with much more sophistication and motive.

Either different country or disgruntled Dem. operative ( who died a mysterious murder ) which was discussed a lot, many months ago and I think the name is (Seth Richards) who was alluded to in a very round about way by Assange, who has stated numerous time - Not Russia or any other State.

The server was examined by a company called Crowdstrike, a noted hater of Russia.  Also noted by intelligence people many months ago ( many as more than 12 ) is that Russia goes to great lengths to not leave their signature on hacking.  Why was not that server allowed to be seen by the FBI.  I can think of several reasons and most likely they are all correct.  I am sure others here can also.

Seems the DNC paid a lot of money to a lot of different entities to either fabricate reports about opponents or cover up their own dirty doings.  Maybe the DNC needs to be investigated.   Evil
