Hours after Alex Jones and Infowars were banned from iTunes and Facebook, The Alex Jones Channel on YouTube which had 2.4 million followers was terminated on Monday "for violating YouTube's Community Guidelines," along with the Ron Gibson channel which archived Jones' daily shows.

Twitter Suspends Candace Owens After She Tweets Out Sarah Jeong’s Words (But Replaces ‘White’ With ‘Jewish’ And ‘Black’

Twitter suspended conservative commentator Candace Owens on Sunday for imitating New York Times editorial board member Sarah Jeong’s anti-white tweets, but restored Owens’ account access following a backlash on social media.

Owens, the communications director for conservative activist group Turning Points USA, on Saturday sent out a pair of tweets quoting  Jeong’s anti-white statements — which did not earn her a Twitter suspension — but swapped out the word “white” with “Jewish” and “black.”

By censoring him, they're proving him right, in a perverse way... And adding to his street cred.

This guy hasn't been right about much at all. He has made money off of the parents of murdered 6 year olds. He has made money off of all kinds of vile crap he posts. He is disgusting. He has NO street cred. Why would ANY company let him post his "INFO" on their site ? Nobody has infringed his rights.

Watch this ad and decide for yourselves about Facebooks censorship. Its a great ad and very uplifting.

Facebook has reportedly blocked a California congressional candidate’s campaign from using a video as an ad on the social media platform because they deemed it “shocking, disrespectful or sensational.”

Mr Jones makes a very good living at...embellishment; Roll Eyes usually at the expense of others.

Brennan Gilmore, a former State Department official and Democratic Party activist who attended last summer’s violent far-right rally in Charlottesville, Va. Mr. Gilmore, 39, was on the street on Aug. 12 when James Alex Fields Jr. drove his car into a crowd of protesters, killing a woman, Heather Heyer, and injuring several others.

After Mr. Gilmore posted a video of the episode online and spoke about it repeatedly to the media, Mr. Jones published his own video on Infowars, accusing him in a rambling jeremiad of being a plant from the Central Intelligence Agency employed by the billionaire George Soros.

Mr. Jones went on to suggest that Mr. Gilmore may have been involved in the attack on Ms. Heyer to bring about what he described as “the downfall of Trump.”  In March, Mr. Gilmore sued Mr. Jones for defamation, arguing that he had suffered threats and harassment because of the report.

In defending himself, Mr. Jones has claimed in court papers that his allegations concerning Mr. Gilmore were “opinion, not statements of fact” and that Infowars is a “freewheeling” website, “in which hyperbole and diatribe reign as the preferred tools of discourse.” His viewers, Mr. Jones maintained, “expect an interview or monologue to be more free-flowing and opinionated and less precise in its use of language than an article or a book.”

2funny
In other words, anything goes.

This guy was also a key player in Pizza Gate; requesting viewers to go to the restaurant and investigate the Hillary child sex ring... uglystupid2 We all know how that turned out.  He did later publicly apologize to the restaurant owner - on the day before the deadline for punitive damages in a Texas libel suit to kick in.

He is still claiming that the Sandy Hook School massacre was a hoax; and enough of his minions believe him to continually harass the kids parents.  WTH?  Kids died there; this is not real hard to verify.

But wait, there's more!
Last week Mr. Jones broadcast a bizarre accusation that Robert S. Mueller III, the special counsel investigating Russian interference in the 2016 election, was involved in a child sex ring. In an online broadcast, Mr. Jones addressed Mr. Mueller while repeatedly imitating firing a handgun, saying: “It’s the real world. Politically. You’re going to get it, or I’m going to die trying.”

IMHO, this guy is a nut job.
The court verdicts should be interesting.

You have the right to say whatever you want. Just the same as you have the right not to listen to BS when you hear it coming on. Many choose to listen to BS then complain about it. Those people are the real problem. If BS gets no reaction it will go away.

Here as elsewhere the terms "banned from internet" are a bit strong, actually a misstatement.  A private company chose to not provide a service to Mr. Jones.  Whether that was a good or not good decision is certainly up for discussion but it does fall within the definition of freedom for that company (or those companies).

We either support freedom or we don't.  If we do it applies to both sides.

Alex Jones is a loose cannon and the perfect place to start for the tech giants when permanently eliminating views that don't line up with their dogma, but we all know that it is just the beginning of the long shadow that is going to be cast over freedom of thought and speech...not just in the USA, but everywhere.
That is too much power in the hands of a few zealots located in the hermetically sealed echo chamber of silicone valley. Their monopoly on the gathering and dissemination of "ALL" information needs to end sooner than later. These Brown Shirts are on a similar path to that in Berlin 80 years ago but with  global implications. Google's willingness, for example, to collude with Chinese authorities to restrict public opinion there is chilling to say the least.

The Tech Giants stopped simply being just "private companies" a while ago when their influence jumped the American Borders to cast their influence world wide!!!

While I agree they have every right and I personally do not listen or read Alex Jones the hypocrisy of it all turns my stomach.   They seem to have no problems with people like Louis Farrakhan or Antifa spouting hate unless people pressure them and point out the hypocrisy.

A few weeks back my wife shared a political article on facebook that she found particularly interesting along with her personal thoughts...she was promptly shadow banned. How did she know...none of her friends could see her post...that is too much power and influence exercised by thought police from a foreign country.
It is time for some serious laws to be implemented outside the USA.

Maybe, but those same private companies would have no problem letting hate filled rants of Louis Farrakhan and antifa on their sites without a problem. This hate speech is OK but when people like Diamond and Silk say something against this hate they are sensored.  That is called hypocrisy. Having said that I don't like Alex Jones either.

I called Mark Zuckerberg a racist on facebook. My reason. Because he consistently sensors black conservative people like Diamond & Silk, Colion Noir,Alonzo Rachel and Candice Owen just to name a few because they dare to question the liberal montra. I called him out because you know for a fact if these four had been liberals sensored by a conservative site that site would be called out as racist for sure.  Heck, you couldn't say anything about our last president or even question his policies without being called a racist.

When all intellectual contributors, no matter their ideology are treated equally, I will have nothing more to say.
When less than intellectual discourse, vitriol and actual violence from either side towards others are treated equally, again I will have nothing more to say.

I've never called Mark Zuckerberg anything. Honestly social media is not in my wheelhouse. Some of you have much more knowledge of it than I. But I doubt a company that is about making money would want to alienate half the population. As a matter of fact, I KNOW there is mucho conservative viewpoints on Facebook. I hear about it constantly. I don't know for a fact that if they were liberals anybody would have been called anything. I am positive that you and many others here said many things about our last president and his policies and were never called racists. If you were, I sure don't remember it. As far as Alex Jones and his "InfoWars", I'm glad to hear you don't like him either. But, sadly there are more than a few who do, many here on this forum.  Wink

A simple and patently obvious solution would be at hand, but the tech giants are not interested in being equal opportunity platforms, and plenty of evidence is piling up that will eventually get them dragged into unending litigation.
