being pardoned does not mean he was not convicted of a felony.

Technically it does:
A pardon is a government decision to allow a person to be absolved of guilt for an alleged crime or other legal offense, as if the act never occurred.
The only reason he was targeted because he made an unfavorable movie critical of Obama.
I would not hesitate to say that every citizen is guilty of a felony and more and more they have been making low level offenses into felonies. More money for the courts, lawyers, the justice system, more control. Most crimes can be charged as a felony and most can be downgraded. Maybe not the original charge but any subsequent charge either way.
I want to see the movie and will see if I can catch it around here but I may not since I experienced the real life version of the movie from the previous admin.
You conveniently left out the rest of the paragraph.

“A pardon is a government decision to allow a person to be absolved of guilt for an alleged crime or other legal offense, as if the act never occurred. The pardon may be granted
before or after conviction for the crime, depending on the laws of the jurisdiction.”
Another interesting paragraph further down :
“Pardons can also be a source of controversy. In extreme cases, some pardons may be seen as acts of corruption by officials in the form of granting effective immunity as political favors.”
