Heard of instant coffee, instant potatoes, and instant tea. Instant pot sounds intriguing. Not sure of the practical applications or what food group it is in while in an instant form.

Instant Pot cooks ?

They have instant pot now?

Man, the older I get, the more I miss out on.

I had some cosmic brownies back in college once (which kicked my ass, and I slept for 10 hours).   crazy2

Now they have instructional TV shows that teach you how to do it gourmet.  Grin

It's not at the grocery store in my State (and they don't have any sense of humor about it at all).

It's a newfangled combination pressure cooker, rice cooker, steamer, sauté, crockpot thingamagig. So far I've done BBQ ribs, Chicken Tikka Masala, steamed salmon, and a few other things. They are pretty cool.  cooldude

No recipies to offer but I will say that we bought the smaller version a year of so ago and my wife loves it.  Boiled peanuts in like 1/3 the time.  Everything else cooking time way down and much safer than the old pressure cookers.  We use it in the RV on trips, well worth the purchase price.

Unfortunately, I wouldn't have a clue. My boss and those that watch over us (FAA/DOT), hold a dim view on all matters of the evil weed.

LOL.....I just read the newer posts. That one went right over my head......

https://www.rebootedmom.com/instant-pot-shredded-mexican-chicken/

https://www.simplyrecipes.com/recipes/pressure_cooker_porcupine_meatballs/

I've simplefied both. the meatballs just form and throw in pot on saute, add sauce
and maybe onion, cook fer 15 minutes....

the chicken, quick saute of chicken in oil, cup or so of fave salsa,
cook and then remove lid and shred while simmering down for
enchiladas or Tacos.

ton on Pinterest...

I did a quick local google search to see if they are easy to come by and the first thing that popped up was lady burnt with pressure cooker.... My wife is not that coordinated so not so sure about getting one

be careful now

Luckily, I've been handling pressure cookers since I was probably 9 or 10. These things are like a Mr. Coffee maker compared to the old ones. I'm not a great cook by any means, I can make a few dishes ok. These just make it a lot easier and neater.
Never thought I'd be an old 60 year old on a motorcycle forum talking about cooking.  ???

cooldude I’ve found there is a minimum amount of water also. If you don’t have enough, it gives you a trouble code and stops cooking.  tickedoff also they are pretty cool, in that you can just put the meat in frozen also.
