Took my 01 Valk for some air this afternoon, riding as usual up the goat trail

My riding was normal today (good for me but not cool kid good)  Cool

I decided to trace some of the route taken by the colonials when they captured Andre and failed to nab the real traitor Benedict Arnold and came to this sign just south of Garrison (bet you can figure out how it got the name) which is on the east side of the Hudson just across and south of West Point

Andre was taken to Washington's quarters in Tappan NY and held at the 76 house then hung from a tree on Andre Hill. That area is about 2 miles from my folks house where I lived while in HS  and summers from college

from there I went to cold spring and down to the river to watch the boats sailing.

then east on 301 and south on 9 where I found this sign commemorating two of the fortifications that failed to stop those pesky brits for long after the chain across the hudson was breached at the battle of fort montgomery

Here is an interesting history from the alabama sons of the american revolution

on the way back I stopped at the Blue Pig for some blueberry crumb hot fudge sunday as after all it was  that time of day

wind therapy is good for you   so is ice cream
