I ordered an o-ring kit last Monday and have had not received anything from them in the past week. No o-rings in the mail. No confirmation they received my order. No email that the o-rings were sent out or on back ordered. Nothing.  The money was taken out of my paypal account 7 days ago though and i received a notice of that from paypal.  I called the number Google has listed for them and the gentleman who answered the phone said he used to share business space with carolina bike and trike but his business grew and he took over the whole building.

I'm not saying anything negative about Carolina bike and trike. I know there is some bad weather in that area right now with the hurricane and they are one of the few people who cater to our valkyrie needs. I was just wondering if anyone else has had the same issue I'm having. Got the new interstate tying up my lift with the wheel off and waiting on parts is frustrating. I did just send him an email so I'll wait a few more days for something in the mail or a response from him.

I’ve always had good prompt service with them. It’s probably due to the weather like you said. I can send you a set in the mail, if it will help.

I ordered some kit from them in early July; I don't recall exactly how long it took to ship, I'm not seeing any confirmation of the order being received in my e-mail archives other than my PayPal receipt, but I got the order in a timely manner...

Or at least, it was timely enough I don't remember anything abnormal about it, if that makes sense.

I had 2 of the 3 left from my last bunch I had from them. I ordered the missing one from Honda last week to complete the set. I picked it up this afternoon with some miscellaneous other parts I ordered. Thanks for the offers guys.

Serk as long as I'm not the only one who didn't get a confirmation email I'll assume it's business as usual and possibly delayed from the weather

UPDATE:  I got a reply to my email just a few hours later with an apology for the delay. He said they would be sent out first thing in the morning and gave me a usps tracking number.  Lesson of the day order your service parts before you need them. I really should keep a couple tires a case of rotella and some more oil filters on the shelf.

Maybe not the best idea on those tires.  Remember they are aging in your less than ideal storage.

I run through them quick enough and my buddys vtx 1800 runs the same size so i mount at least a few fronts and a couple rears every year.

how many miles do you get a year?
         or
 what tires are you running?
I'd rather pay more for a better tire and have it last twice as
long than buy low end and have to change every time I get
ready for a road trip, specially the rear...

I run about 15k a year.  I also have a tire changer on my back patio so changing out rubber isn't that big of a deal for me. as far as paying more for longer wearing tires as long as i get great traction and the rear tire lasts 10k before its worn out I'm good with inexpensive tires.  I'm already pulling the rear end apart for service then why not throw on fresh rubber that will last another 10k before i do it again. I run cheap car tires with soft sticky rubber. honestly I've never run the same tire twice except shinko890 journey which were already on the bikes when i bought them so i get varying results for mileage.  I wish i could still get the GT Radial Champiro VP1 car tire. been the best rear of all I have run.  the shinko tourmaster i currently have on the front is killing it in mileage and one of the cheapest tires you can get. traction and ride quality on the highway and racing through the tail of the dragon aren't compromised buy the cost either.

My only experience with a CT was with the one that I put on before I delivered the bike to Serk.

He can attest to how well it's doing.

It was definitely Cheap ($68 @ Walmart) and it was sticky.

It was a General Exclaim 205/60R-16

The Shinko Tourmaster is my front tire of choice also.

Glad they are still available. Couldn't find any anywhere except a used one on ebay last time i replaced my rear.  I even checked gtradial website and it didnt show the vp1 in their lineup any longer. There was another much more expensive champiro. The michelin mxv4 i have now is as good as i remember the champiro and better mileage but over twice the price. $/mile not saving anything.

Next front you replace Britman i suggest the tourmaster. I know you like the journey but that tourmaster is way better imo

Thanks but I've used Journey for over 100,000 miles and will stick with them. The Journey has a nicely rounded profile and gets chicken strip free .
