This morning I decided since it was a bright sunny day to
map out on the bike the revised fall ride routes
Took my 01 Interstate this time.

G-man I am glad I did not invite you as a dump truck flipped over on the goat trail.  You would have not been happy . While waiting on the 202 detour in Garrison NY, I was passed by a monarch butterfly   laugh  and yes he passed me on the left, but over the yellow line

It was a surreal moment for sure.

Finally traffic moved thru the 9D intersection light and I was able to take 9D to the Bear Mtn Bridge, then thru the park itself, past Perkins Drive  (winter view from near top of Perkins looking NE   ) along 7 lakes drive.  The sun was very bright and no traffic up there on the uphill climb and all along Lakes Tiorati, Adams and Sebago.  At  the roundabout for 106 which is still open I turned right and proceeded to rt 17  Took that north to 19 then north on that to Stage Rd to 17M to 208. From there the route will mirror much of the ride last year - at least the before lunch part.  Coming home will be all new till the Taconic Parkway which should be awesome that weekend

Once I got to 208 I headed home on 6 then 9D north and the dump truck was still closing the goat trail and 9 home.

Found gas at 283/gallon on 17M but that was only 60 something miles from home, still it might make a good quick bathroom stop and top off location during the ride for those who "forgot" to get gas

Leaves are not changing colors yet ! They are though up in the catskills so it looks like all different colors red orange yellow ambers will abound during this trip

If you havent booked yet I cant guarantee the rate but you can call anyway and see if they will honor it  Block should have been released this week.

Great day for a ride for sure!
Today is moving day for my daughter she is moving out with a roommate in Hoboken.  I'm very impressed with the area!
I do however wish I could be out riding my bike this said I'm still having dizzy spells.  It appears they have gotten fewer and farther between as well as shorter in duration.   Hopefully this will pass soon!
