My mom liked his voice and had a couple of his records that she used to play when my dad was away in the Navy during the war.  I think that they were 45's, but they could have been 78's as well.  Memories.
A distinct, French accented crooner voice, much like Chevalier's, from the cabaret music era.  My gosh, another past memory is going away today.
