Hi all! I've been around since the creation of VRCC (member #46), but have not been on the boards much in the last few years.

We recently picked up a new-to-us non-Valkyrie ride. Not to worry though...the Valkyrie is still here and probably not going anywhere anytime soon!

The new ride is a 2015 Indian Roadmaster with 2017 CSC trike conversion. So far we love it. It is not a Valkyrie for sure, but it does have it's own charm including killer good looks! At least we think so!

I have always loved Indians and decided this was the way to go. Still love the Valkyrie too! Both of them make me smile!

Still alive...not sure about the "kickin" part!  Grin

We still have the Boss too. It is Cheryl's daily driver!

Brute force hot rod on the left, smooth & low custom on the right...  Cool

I am jealous, can you adopt me so I can ride these beautiful awesome bikes...

I have to agree, that Indian is a work of art masterpiece, one of a kind unlike most trikes.

The boss hoss is not bad either for such a large V8 engine I too would probably prefer having in a trike on 3 wheels vs. just 2.

You are only 4-5 hours south of me straight shot south into mid IL, but if only I had another reason to visit the area?  Hmmm!    cooldude

Thanks for all the replies! It is great to hear from you all.

Cheryl and I have been doing OK. She had two knee replacements and a bout with breast cancer, but all is well now. I lost my job in April after 29 years (the company went bankrupt). Just hanging in there until I can sign up for SS in Feb.

A number of years back, Cheryl got her MC license and decided the Boss trike was "hers." LOL!  Roll Eyes When we bought the Indian in August, the original thought was that it would replace both the Valk and the Boss and we would "share" it. However, we discovered that she cannot operate the clutch lever with the arthritis in her fingers. So....I guess we're keeping the Boss, at least for now. It is full automatic with no clutch, so it works well for her.  cooldude

Meanwhile....I started researching selling prices for '97-'98 Valkyries in our area and decided that I wasn't going to let the old Fat Girl (Lady in Red) go that cheap. We've got 20 years of memories on that bike!  smitten

We will have to try to hit one of the Valk events next year if possible.

InZane is in Taos, NM next year.  Since you're not working, that would be a great road trip!!

OK, now we're getting serious about considering Taos...

We bought our Valkyrie in 1998 (left over '97 model). In 1999 we rode to Montrose, CO for the VOAI Valkyrie event. Had a blast. In 1999 we also celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary.

We bought the Indian in 2018. Our 45th anniversary is 2019. Cheryl had asked where we were going to ride to celebrate that. I told her "anywhere you want." She says she is up to riding to Taos!

Hope y'all don't mind if we bring the Indian!  Smiley Cheryl can't do long distance on the Valk anymore.

Dave--I have not had the pleasure of meeting you yet, but from the number of warm replies you are certainly well liked.  Ditto what everyone else has said about your bikes--all three are drop dead gorgeous.  Taos is too far for me since still working, but perhaps we'll meet at Inzane 2020 if it moves this wa--which has been the pattern.

Not only will no one mind, but you would probably be a shoo-in for the Non-Valk category in the Bike Show!

Well....I'm still around...   coolsmiley

Had mild heart attack on Oct 27, followed by quadruple bypass surgery on Oct 30. Obviously, that put a temporary hold on any motorcycle riding!  Sad

However, I'm doing great. No heart damage from the attack. Surgery went very well and recovery has been going well also.

The surgeon said the front arterial artery was 95% blocked. That's the one they call the "widowmaker", as in "sit down in recliner and never wake up." Guess where I was when the attack hit? Yep, in the recliner! Guess God's not done with me here yet as it was only by His grace that I'm still here!  angel

So anyway....we are still planning on heading for Taos in August. It's been quite a few years since we've taken a long trip on a bike, but we are looking forward to it. Maybe more so now than before the surgery! Bucket list and all that...!  Smiley

Wishing all of you a Very Merry Christmas and Happy (& Healthy!) New Year!!

My dad had the same thing in august. They said his was 98% blocked. He was just recently released to go back to work and ride the bike.

Glad your doing well! My widow maker was repaired in December 1999, I rode my buddies new 99 Valkyrie in late January of 2000 and bought my 99 Valkyrie in March of 2000. We’ve been together ever since. The Indian and the Boss are both sweet.

super nice trikes and Valk, very nice indeed.  If you ever need help putting some miles on some not letting them sit too long,  bring them up from IL to southern WI area so I can take anyone of them for a spin around the block....... Wink  Not like I need another bike though and not like one of those 2 trikes will be anywhere near in my budget.   Both the boss hoss and indian are super sweet looking, look awesome.
You are one smiling happy man am sure!   Tell the misses she needs to retire soon so you can put some more miles on those nice rides!
