OK....then I can applaud that....loudly!

Just went back and read the link. How stupid! Women clap when the dude leading the prayer makes a mistake....really? Do they not realize that prayer comes from the heart, not from memory! No wonder they've been around for hundreds of years, they're slow learners.

Reminds me of my dad, an old prayer warrior from waaaay back. Sometimes the pastor would ask him to close in prayer so he would have a chance to get back to the narthex. When he did, my girls would all groan 'cuz they knew grandpa could really get cranked up at times. Same thing saying Grace before eating, the girls would come to me ahead of time and plead with me to "don't ask grandpa, the food will get cold." Sometimes I'd do it out of sheer orneriness, and receive a collective groan from my girls. My mom would listen for just so long then reach over and pinch dad's leg....a signal to cut it short bub!
