One summer afternoon a few years ago a fellow on a Harley and I in my minivan pulled up to a stoplight at the same time, in adjacent lanes. He began entertaining himself by blipping the throttle. Over the din created by his aftermarket pipes, I told him I had a bike like his once. He smiled and said, "Oh, how did you like your (insert a few capital letters here)?"

I replied, "I didn't own a Harley; I meant I had a bike that wouldn't idle without blipping the throttle. You should probably replace your pilot jet."

It was probably just as well that the light turned green right then.

I pulled up to a light in Muscatine Iowa and it was red and not changing. Guy in a Harley pulls up and said "you know they make these magnets you can mount under your engine to trip these lights"
I replied, "I tried one and kept picking up Harley parts"
The light changed and end of story

My personal favorites are the HD guys that slow down and speed up repeatedly, just to hear their exhaust.  Kind of a rolling throttle blip.

A BMW guy told this story in the early 80s (no idea if it was true):

BMW guy was at the gas station and a Harley guy pulls in with a pickup truck, trailer, and motorcycle on the trailer, all decked out in matching colors. BMW guy told Harley guy, "I had a bike like that once." Harley guy beamed until BMW guy added, "I had to put it on a trailer if I wanted to get it to where I was going."

This is a true story.
A buddy, who was in between bikes at the time, rented a HD in Corpus to go to a rally in South Padre. Couple hundred miles.
(Evidently you can get the dealer to put it on a trailer to just hook up and go)

On the way back, pulling the trailer, he said a group of bikers passed him up and the last one pulled right in front of him and the back of his t-shirt said:

Nice trailer,
pu$$y
