Set your clocks back 1 hour Saturday night or Sunday morning (not both). This is for locations that observe DST (yes I know Arizona doesn't , and maybe some other states/ territorys / provinces ).

Finally, my clocks (and watches) will be right again.   Grin

When you are are a retired (and single) person, you rarely need to know the time, or care.

I only need to know the day of the week, for garbage pickup.

Picture this, in 8.5 years of retirement, my alarm clock has only gone off twice (both early rides).

I used to go around setting the LED clocks in all those appliances, now they just go 00.00 all the time.  This way, they never need reset.

We dont have to move our clocks in Arizona. At DriveTime we move our schedules one hour, from a perfect 6-3 to 7-4...

November riding...that is a rare event here at 51° latitude and near 4000' elevation. I do like the added hour we get this Sunday morning but not the earlier sunsets from now to March...nights are long here Dec 21.

yah, really depends on the year.  The past several years have been riding up until last weekend in November still in 50's and rarely below freezing.  This year for once, not the case below normal temps all of October (and tons of rain) and early November sees no end in sight....   tickedoff

One of my retired friends teases me saying every day is like Saturday and that the only know it is Sunday because that's the day the BIG paper shows up.

people still get the newspaper delivered, even on weekends?

I thought that is what the internet is for?

Hard to believe the newspaper business is still in existence today to be honest.

Mostly as a vehicle for selling / distributing advertising. There are public Notices that also get published in the print media.

newspapers in bigger cities seem to be hanging on (for now), most of them do have some internet component as well. It's the small town ones that are dying off.

Some of Arizona sets their clocks back.  The Navajo nation does, but I think its more to screw with whitey.

I too live at 4000' but a bit to the south.  If there is no ice/snow on the roads, do ride all winter.  Longest I have gone was 6 weeks several winters ago.  But rides are only a couple hours or less.  Getting old and cold effects me more now.  BUT being retired, can pick the days of weeks when the sun is out and temps are better.  Just have to be on the road by 1230 or so now that DST has gone back a hour.

We live in smaller town, 16-20K in size. We still get the Sunday paper.  Though they have stopped Saturday and Monday papers.

My smoke detector starts sounding off with a low battery. (chirping)

My carbon monoxide detector plugs into the wall.  (When the power comes back on, it sounds off loud enough to make you piss yourself.... especially when sleeping, as it's in the bedroom)
