Unfortunately it is 40 degrees and raining in Wisconsin so I can't (won't) get a ride in any time soon.

I am hooping for a little warm up so I can get out before winter sets in.

Not today....rain. Did about 180 yesterday to join the rest of the Florida group for a gathering in Zephyrhills where I believe the last count was 50 bikes. Since my ability to get away from the house is somewhat restricted, I decided to take the long way both going and coming to take advantage of the free day. Perfect weather, leather in the morning and light jacket in the afternoon. Sunny skies with temps in the 70's.

No I did not ride today! Wanted to but had company all day, it is OK.
But I did buy 97 bumble bee yesterday 22000 miles great shape EXCEPT previous owner took rear turn signals and tag bracket off. and doesn't have now.

If anyone has these please let me know, can't buy tag until I have turn signals.

PS

I also have a 99 standard black 18000 miles perfect, went to Eureka Springs AR 2 weeks ago rode every road we could find for a whole week then back to KS in downpour.

Yesterday...

Rode about 40 miles with my elder spawn following me on the Helix, giving her some more training, rode through 2 lane twisty roads, suburban traffic, city traffic, throwing as much at her as I can before her riding test later this month.

Today.... I changed the clock on my Interstate to match the fall back for turning off Daylight Savings Time at least...

JIm

It was 50, not 40, today, but with the rain and wind most on vs. off today sure felt like 40 though.

I did ride one of the Valks yesterday after sitting 6+ weeks have to burn that OLD gas outta there and put 91 octane NON ethanol in before winter but even then a stray shower popped up for 1/2 the ride.

What is it cannot catch a break on weekends lately, rain rain go away!

Now with all there is yet to do around the house before it snows being clean eastrophes, clean up yard with leaves, etc,  roto-till garden up with chopped leaves (have not even done that yet usually mid October done been to WET), clean moms yard up yet, put snow tires on some vehicles, mow grass one last time,   clean up and change oil on 4 bikes (the list is longer, etc.),  not sure I will have time before end of November on weekends basically only before it snows.

speaking of snow,  have to head up to Eau Claire next weekend as well (there goes another weekend down) 3 hours north and heard SNOW 2-3 inches by next weekend up in northern WI already.    IT  IS COMING!!!   tickedoff

The farmers around here and cornfield behind my house have not even picked their standing corn yet been way too wet and heard fear of mold might be prevalent on standing corn still.  I heard this is the 3rd soon to be 2nd wettest year on record here in WI dating records way back into the mid 1800's.

I rode to the Marana AZ airport and had breakfast. There were about a dozen bikes there. The sign of a good restaurant.
So about 30 miles on today

Yep,  and just saw ext. forecast thru all of the following next weekend into mid November and lows around 22 and high around 32.  I guess riding season is done and nowhere close to putting them up having to find room in my garage for them let alone cleaning them all up and changing oil, etc.

Man,  well below normal temps is coming ASAP all of a sudden and now heard snow for us as well this coming Friday and Saturday already.  Recent years past,  I was riding well into mid to late November not even close to freezing temps.   That global warming thing is so not correct.  tickedoff

Got in about 100 miles Sunday, just running errands and taking the long way around to do things, it was in the high 50's, perfect for riding, my hound dog (Black & Tan) loves the cool air.

Didn't ride today, yet. Rode her yesterday. Been riding the new Wing for the past 2 weeks, decided to let the Wing rest and took the old FatGirl out. If the weather holds out I will probably take her out again today.

I rode mine today. Temp was in the 60’s with a very lite mist in the air. The roads were slightly slick, so no playing this morning. It’s supposed to be sunny and clear later, so it’ll be fun time on the way home.

I rode the Valkyrie for the last time this year, it was about 45 cloudy and damp. But it was a fun 70 mile run on the back roads of Wisconsin.
I still have the F6B to ride but it doesn't look good for the next week.

Rode a little over 100 miles yesterday afternoon.  An enjoyable ride thru the low country on far type roads, lot of fields, pastures, cows, even some ducks on several lakes.  Very few bugs out.  Enjoyable slow ride.

Have started my winter riding.  That is, leaving after lunch and getting back before 4, that's when it sun starts loosing what heat it has and temps start falling.   It was 45 when I left, think it got to 50 for a while, but was nearer to 40 when I got home.  That's the way it will be till spring.
