what is the deal with all these wildfires in CA?

Hope all is o.k. on this board but sounds like several people lost their lives in their homes....

between this and those active shootings is not good.  Just heard something about another active shooter in NC in a high school I think - UNREAL!

the northern most fire in CA is called "Camp Fire".   Any guesses why it is call such and maybe who had a campfire get away from them.

AND our skies were just getting clear, tired of all the smoke.
