This could verge on being a dumb question, but do you mount the lift adapter permanently under your scoot or just put it under there when you want to lift the bike?
Thanks, Ron

Mark T sells the best one, bolt on, forget it till you need it.

What Craig said. There are others that are designed to be temporary, some have accidentally left them on. So be careful if you get one of those.

I made my own.  Its designed to come off after use.  Never considered one that was permanent.

Mark T's adapter is a very good design.

Using a lift adapter makes lifting the bike much easier.

I have the Mark T and highly recommend it. I have had the other style of permanent. Mark's is far superior and a more stable lift.

I should have added that I have one like Ross Spoonland's. I take it that it is made to be temporary?

I bought mine from Mark T. and definitely recommend it. It is meant to be installed and left there. It doesn't interfere with any normal servicing, and the weight is a very minor addition to our heavy bikes. What little weight it adds is down low, too. The reason I would go with the "permanent" addition has nothing to do with servicing your own bike at home. What if you're out somewhere and have a tire go down (assuming it's a cut or some other non-pluggable damage)? If the shop isn't a Honda dealer, they may not have a good way to lift your bike except by the bottom of the cases. While the lift adapters do attach to the bottom of the powertrain, they spread the load out and give you a flat surface to lift from.

This one came with the bike but was not installed. It took about 10 minutes...just secured to the crossmember at OEM bolt locations.
