I'm looking for a good cross country planning app that delivers these things:
1. custom route mapping and storage, with multiple waypoints over several days, not just the "shortest freeway distance " routes.

2. hands off turn by turn audio (phone in jacket, not on the bars)

3. Additional content overlays for things like weather, construction,  traffic, POI etc...

4. Emergency/safety/crash notification since I ride alone

I've been looking at Rever and EatSleepRide, and I already use darksky for weather tracking.
Anybody have any experience with things like this?  I'd love the hear what you think.

Thanks

Not really a planning app per se but once on the road +1 for
gypsy apps

cost 5 bucks per area,  Used them on our trip to Glacier and also the canadian rockies

They tell you where to turn, literally says in 100 yds turn right and park or take this road on the left go so far then park, where the trail entrance is for a walk to a waterfall or other incredible hidden from the road place

Would not have had nearly the awesome experience without it

That Gypsy app is pretty cool!
Looks like it would be perfect for a BC-Alberta trip.
I'm looking for more of a smokey mountains, south, Missouri,  dakotas thing.

Thanks for the suggestion tho, never heard of that one

To relive your riding take a look at "Relive".

Here's one of my rides as an example.

I've used MadMaps for years, and I really like them for day trips.  I just found out they offer a digital app that may provide at least some of the features you're looking for.  https://www.madmaps.com/pages/mobile-apps
