For those whose riding season closed out before they could get here... (it opened 2nd weekend of Nov.)
We rode it Sunday (cloudy, but 60°) & you'll definitely wanna add it to your bucket list, 'specially next Fall!
Alittle confusion on how to find it on the West side (Walland, Tn.) because there are no new signs on 321. You simply turn like you're runnin' the old section (from 321 to 129) but then turn down the hill (instead of up the mountain) & the new part passes under 321 then heads up to Wears Valley. You caint miss it on the Wears Valley end, you drive right under it cooldude

Ride safe y'all, Happy Holidays! Cool

Great pictures  cooldude

I have done Foothills Pkwy between 321 and 129 many times in the past, DID THEY OPEN A NEW PART OR EXTENSION TO THE PARKWAY?

If I understand right, if you go from 129 to 321 the pkwy goes under 321 and follows almost parallel to 321 to Wears Valley???

If that is the case, I will definitely want to do that stretch of road next time I'm there

Thanks

Yes, & that is correct.
The new section has been in the works for over 5 decades. There are nine bridges & that's part of why it took so long. Couple of 'em are build like Lynn Cove Viaduct up on BRP, they hang off the side of the mountain! The mile markers are continuous on the new section, first one I noticed (headed East toward Wears Valley) was MM 18 & last one was MM 30. I think I heard somewhere that the new section is 16 miles long (& my pics don't do it justice). There are actually 2 parking areas on the longest bridge. That's where I took the panorama cooldude

I really enjoy riding the Foothills Parkway.

Thanks for the info on the new section.

I wish that they would build the entire thing:
