I see many similarities between how their gun ban started, and how the left is now operating.

And yet anyone here that doesn't subscribe to gun control, is labeled by the left as a fanatic.

And/or a fascist, Nazi, racist, bigot, homophobe, deplorable, denyer, sexist, stinking capitalist, ad nauseum.
Our side is much kinder, consistent and accurate.... we just call the other side assholes.

The libs (now socialists) know they cannot confiscate all our guns. They know they can't change the Constitution so that law abiding citizens can have guns.
This is the slippery slope we have already started down. If they (in the name of common Sense gun laws) make something illegal, and you don't turn it in. You are no longer a law abiding citizen. Now they can easily prevent you from buying guns and ammo.
It's a sneaky way of achieving some form of disarmament

Of course, there has always been a list of exceptions to the 2d Amend; felon, drug and/or alcohol addict, non citizen, domestic abuser or restraining order, mentally incompetent.
Their other trick is to try and expand this list. (like if you have VA service connection for PTSD or depression with only a 10% evaluation rating.... meaning you are evaluated by VA as barely impaired by your mental disorder, they'd like your guns too, automatically, with no individual due process)
I don't care how impaired I was, as a veteran, I would never file a VA (or SSD) claim for any mental disorder, or take any prescription drugs for such disorder, ever. Not if you want to keep your 2d Amend rights intact. Same deal with medical marijuana (and associated paperwork to the G).
(Now if you are a near-to-complete whack-job (technical term), please file your claim, take the money, take your drugs, and give your guns to friends or family.)

Labeling me is the Left's option, I really don't care anymore..
