Reb just posted about his beautiful blue F6B and it turned to chrome or not.
So I don't want to hijack his post.
So here are some pictures of my black F6B without chrome and with.
Some bikes and cars look good with black trim and some don't.

I like chrome, and the 1500 Valkyries are especially suited to being chromed out. However, the F6B is one bike that I think looks better with Black trim. A Blacked out B would be a great stable mate to my Red, Black and Chrome IS  Cool

I think your bike looks excellent  cooldude I have a question though. It's hard to tell from the pic, but is Honda still using the same OEM valve stems as our 1500's ?

Yes I think they are the same, but on the Goldwings with TPS then it's more of a square stem.

I find chrome ugly as all hell. Maybe because it’s like a mirror?

Real chrome tastefully done on a classic bike....ok.

Fake plastic chrome on a GW...mmmm, no.

Personally, I prefer chrome but as with anything, there is always a point when it's (whatever) is overdone.

It's not really an option with Hondas, but my old Hog had a great mix of polished aluminum, chrome and stainless steel.  The different metals really look much better than all chrome on chrome, which sort of disappears the details.

Am about over the total blacked-out look. That's just me though.
Chrome is timeless to me.
Any good mix that is done "right" looks great!

I think if having blacked out rims, then for sure go all out black, no chrome anywhere.

I really like the newer model goldwings red/black being all blacked out with black rims, etc. as well as the 2-tone black newer wings as well.  red/black or blue/black or all black and if possible, blacked out exhaust also.

I have Rebs old 98 blue/cream Valk and am sure he did some and other previous owners, but that bike has a lot of chrome goodies on it that I normally would NOT buy, but always get compliments on the bike even at over 80K miles stating NO way is 20 years old, but if you look closely all over,  it is showing its age, but from 5-6 feet away looks sharp still.  You put a good chrome polish on all that chrome and it blinds you for sure.
