I’m remaining positive for two more years. I’m interested to see where the left goes with their new House majority. It’s easier to talk about what your going to do when out of power than to produce results when you have some measure of control. Pelosi is going to be herding cats for while.
My question is will her buddy from California be chairman of the banking and finance committee?

I has been my observance over the last two and half years that the vast majority of people of color, any color (except white), HATE President Trump. They also hate FOX news.
I have personally seen the instantaneous change in people of color when the Presidents voice is heard. Its like a switch gets flipped and a deep seeded hatred takes over until the channel is changed.
Ask them why......... He's Racist.
And because he is racist, he's the worst of the worst therefore capable and guilty of everything he's been accused of since 1974.
These people aren't hiding their hatred. I'm sure if anyone was paying attention during her campaign they heard her sh!t before. Same with Ocasio-Cortez. She made no bones about what she was gonna do once inaugurated. Maxine Waters has been pounding away at impeachment since before the President was even sworn in.
This is just the beginning. The Pundits warned them not to go there right away, but hatred needs to be fed. Sh!tty times ahead.

Once again, I would like to point out that hatred of the President (and his party) is hardly a political platform.
So what's your plan for America?
Impeach Trump and burn him (and his supporters) down. Whatever he (and his supporters) want, we are against it. Well, we also want to raise taxes, spend money on buying more votes, let all the illegals in who want to come, let them vote, let felons vote, and let the dead vote.
Yeah, that's a well reasoned plan for the future.

Yes, the country as a whole is headed for a rough time. Hatred between the two (or more) opposed political groups has been festering for quite some time. It's not healthy for the country.
I agree whole heartedly with G-man.
As to impeachment, over the past few years many have behaved as if it's simply an opportunity to remove an elected president who is not doing what someone approves of. Some on this board are among the number. Specifically the process of impeachment is limited to undoing the election process for the office holder guilty of "Treason, Bribery, or other High Crimes and Misdemeanors". It does require a trial and conviction by the United States Senate. It's never been done and is even more unlikely in today's polarized environment.

I realized something was off right off the get go. Michiganders can get defensive about criticism of their state, I understand that, but that doesn't mean there aren't people that are trying to ruin your once lovely state. I've found most of them to be democrats. |

Most folks are probably like that, defending their birth state like it was a home football team or whatever. 30 or so years ago, I'd been to Dearborn to visit the Ford/Dearborn Village museum & stuff. Saw some good & bad like anywhere else. Admittedly, staying at the Dearborn Inn doesn't give a mean street view or anything, but I didn't feel like I was on a different planet. With so many accounts of "non-believers" being pushed out of Dearborn being so identical, including some Google Earth touring, I understand how this scum got elected. |

Michigan’s 13 th district is obviously a gerrymandered district. It includes areas almost totally populated by democrats. She won the democratic primary election therefore insuring her the seat. There are plenty of gerrymandered districts favoring Republicans as well. And the beat goes on.
