Received the missing parts and installed on my bike.  WOW  What was I waiting for?
The shifting is far smoother now and I done miss second gear anymore.  Shifting down is smoother as well.
Goes to show you just how much binding is caused by that design.

Guess I should chime in to say that I installed a shifter mod from the "other guy" who is not a club sponsor.  I know from reading all the comments that Jersey's mod is great. I'm also very happy with this one.  My Interstate shifts much smoother, and finding neutral is easier.

Thanks all for the great comments!!!  I especially like the one referencing the Jersey Bracket as being SOLID.  (Thanks Wayne-O !!)  This was the goal from the beginning... to have a design that never needed adjustment or potentially loosen overtime from vibrations.  Install once and forget about it!

By the way just for craps and giggles I drilled the hole to accomodate threads for the bolt.  Its actually pretty solid once threaded.  I still used the acorn nut as a lock nut on the installation but is makes the fit even more solid.

Great product and makes the shifting far better.  I havent missed second gear yet.

The Jersey Bracket is designed for the OEM shifter.  It doesn't work with the CBR 1100 shifter because of the 2" bend in the design. 

As an added point, the Jersey Bracket does work with heel/toe shifters that use the OEM shifter.

I'm a little perplexed why my post from a few days ago was DELETED....?
I had made a post where I gave POSITIVE reviews for BOTH shifter brackets available.  I have purchased and used both.  I was not selling anything or favoring one over the other.  They are both good products, each with their own advantages.

Riders with the CBR1100 shifter need to know what options are available to them for shifter support. 

If I said something forbidden in my last post, why not contact me and give me a chance to edit the post, or at the very least a courtesy message to inform me that my post was deleted and on what grounds....?

I'm not trying to make enemies here or take sides.  I have no bias or conflict of interest.  I just think all options that are available should be fair game for a review to keep other valkyrie riders informed on their options.

One of my valks has a CBR 1100 shifter and there is another bracket available.  But apparently I'm not allowed to talk about it on here for fear of getting my post deleted.

What you posted included what amounted to an advertisement for competition to a paid advertiser.  If you took the time to read the Rules of the Road you would have seen that addressed.

I spend too much time to bother calling everyone who violates the rules and negotiate a fix.  I don't mean to be overly harsh.  I do appreciate your participation.

Thanks for the information.  When it comes to tapping threads, I think a degree of how well the threads are cut depends on the person's technique.  You must be pretty good!.  I'm probably average.  Glad it worked out!

I am an aircraft engineer and have plenty of experience with that sort of thing.  Yes it is tough to get it straight and true and I even needed to go buy the correct drill bit. I figured I would give it a shot and if it didnt work then the hole was the correct size anyway.  no harm no foul.

Love the product still.  what a difference it makes.

I installed the Jersey mod several weeks ago. After adjusting it properly, I must say it works great. I used to have some problems finding neutral, butnow it just drops in without any effort. I don' even look at the neutral indicator any more

Wow!  I installed mine in July (2019).  I had been starting to have issues downshifting, especially into first gear at a stoplight.  The Jersey Bracket eliminated the problem completely.  All shifting is now cleaner and more positive than before.  I'd consider this almost a mandatory mod.

There is one thing to watch for when installing.  Some riders slightly rotate the shift lever on the spline to change the clearance for their boot toe.  One should make sure that the lever is on the spline in such a position that the bolt that goes through that curved slot on the mod is not tight against either end of that slot.  You need to be able to make that final adjustment in the installation instructions.

You highlight an important step during installation. Make sure to drill the hole so it allows for your unique setting.  The slot on the Jersey Bracket actually allows for a full spline offset Plus One or Minus One from OEM setting.  For those who who want to go Plus One (that's going counter-clockwise one tooth from OEM), the hole can be drilled into the shifter to accommodate.  Just set dryfit the Jersey Bracket and mark appropriately following he instructions.

Mayhaps only the old-timers will get this comparison....I dunno. Best way I can describe it:

BEFORE the Jersey Bracket, shifting gears on my I/S was sorta like rowing around in a three-on-the-tree....

AFTER the Jersey Bracket.....remember the first time you experienced the silky precision of a Muncie close-ratio four-speed?

If Neutral was any easier to find, every time,  I'd fret. Alien technology. It's almost psychic....

Glad that Jersey had the forethought to slot the bracket.
My 13W boot no longer had enough OEM wiggle-room ( yes; I do mean OEM wiggle-room ) to slide under the shifter.....
I made a simple spline adjustment, and it's now slicker than the rump of your imaginary mistress.

Just a heads up for anyone that has this piece of equipment. I helped a friend install his and it worked great for a few months. Lately he has had trouble shifting. I Looked yesterday and found the problem. In order to go through the gears the shifter has to return to center or it won't make the next shift. His brace apparently tightened itself during normal use so that the pivoting joint became too tight and would not allow the shifter to return. Simply loosening that bolt fixed it right up.

Pretty sure that nylon washer is there. Turns out the two or three other readjustments fixed it and not the slight loosening of that elbow joint bolt. Apparently changing the torque on that bolt is unauthorized. I had a talk with the designer of the unit and long story short. Don't mess with that bolt. Re double check the rest if the installation and insure the bolt holding the OE shift lever is good and tight

I see the issue.  It appears from your photos that the spacer behind the center 6mm bolt (that lines up with the main spline) is out of place.  Please take a look at the updated instructions I just posted to my website.  It now provides an exploded parts view to show how the parts are to line up.  This is what was probably causing the two pieces of the Jersey Bracket to come out of alignment.

Yeah, notice he also has a number of components out of place.  Washer and spacers are as originally designed, but if it works....  Just wonder if there's any binding that's not showing up yet.

I have cobra boards as well (2001 Standard). Shifter is great but I did lose some toe room. I ordered a set of lowering hardware from Mark T which gave me plenty of room to get my toe under the shifter without the need for ankle contortions.
