Compared to Trump - I must be destined to sit with the hand of your god and savior on my shoulder.
...

Uh, you do know that Serk is an agnostic?

No, I wasn't. I don't judge people on their religion (or lack of it) or the practice of it - I judge them on their character and behavior, and most (all ?) of the people on this board seem to be pretty good.

Hate to bust your bubble but with the exception of a small number we are all deplorables.
You would let Hillary Clinton define you ?

Not positive about what John would say but I sense would be close. For Hillary to define me as a deplorable would be a compliment.
My memory isn’t the greatest. But as I remember it she said something like half of Trump’s supporters were racist, anti Islamic, white supremists. And then said those were a basket of deplorables. The stupidity of her statement aside. Why would anyone care to be associated with racists, white supremists, anti islamists ?

Exactly. I was so pissed when she came out with that. It was red meat to be ravaged. If she hadn't done that, things might have been different. It definitely had an impact, not one that she wanted.

I have no idea why Hillary wants and has been associated with racists, white supremacists and Islamist.

This is why people support Trump.

Nope. But i would ask you the same question. Remember Robert Byrd. He was a Democrat and a KKK Exalted cyclops  and was a friend of the Clinton's. In fact she praised him. She even praised Margerate Sanger the founder of Planed Parenthood and big time racist. So before you point fingers at the GOP as being racist you need to look at you own party...

I will type slower so you can understand. I wouldn't associate with the likes of those people. I assume you don't either but your party has and does so my point was your side has some bad actors as well so don't point fingers at the GOP.

Type as slow as you want. What you might should consider doing is reading slower.

Clinton described half of Trump's supporters as racists, etc. She then described that group of supporters as a bag of deplorables (or something like that). So in effect her definition of deplorables is racists, etc. My question to F6John was why would he let Hillary Clinton define him as such. Her statement was ridiculous and insulting. Yet he and others seem to take pride in it.
I never said anything like the Republicans are racists, etc. You said that.

It's sort of like how black people have removed the power from "The N Word" by claiming it as their own, we deplorables have removed the power from the racist sociopath Hillary Clinton and those on her side by claiming the term deplorable as our own.

Let me help since the question is for me and I brought up the deplorables. This analogy might help. You know how the N word is about the worst thing a white person can utter but a black person can use it at will and it's ok. I wear the title of deplorable as a badge of honor considering the respect I have for Hilliarys opinion. You see, most people don't have to have this position broken down for them, they automatically know what your mean. People of my generation will never forget her remarks and the silence of her supporters after the statement. You see she was saying that there are basically 3 classes of people, her supporters who possess the wealth and intellegence of the nation, another class of people to stupid to see the error of being a Trump supporter, and lastly the deplorables not worthy to breath the same air as her.

That explanation makes more sense. But I would disagree that black people have removed the power by using the "n" word. I think the word has as much power and shame as it ever has.

If you guys want to be associated as "deplorables" that's fine by me. I just don't get it. I would not give her any authority to label me.

First of all. Who says it's ok for black people to use the "n" word ? I submit because rappers use it doesn't make it ok with most black people or white people.
Her comments about deplorables was stupid, wrong, and insulting. But that doesn't mean she divided the electorate up into 3 classes as you suggest. She said half his supporters were racist. As wrong as that is, that statement doesn't say that the other half are too stupid.

We accept the label because we reject so strongly her definition of it. However it still signifies that we are not like her in any way shape or form. We know that a healthy distrust of radical Muslims and a desire for control of the borders does not make us racist or white supremists.

I embrace being a Christian, veteran, member of the NRA a biker and Trump supporter. I also know that, that doesn't make me a domestic terrorist even though people like HRC  say so but if that makes me "deplorable" in her eyes, I'll take it all day long

I aspire to develop and to proceed ahead, but I'm not "progressive",
that word has been appropriated.

I guess "deplorable" is kind of like that...

I stated in a different post the other day that you're not that dense. Why do you keep trying to prove me wrong? I made a good faith effort to dumb it down for you since you didn't seem to be able to grasp the concept. Sometimes, make that most of the time, I'll argue just for the sake of the argument and if that's what your are doing, you have mastered the craft, otherwise your as dense as lead.

Wow. I guess when a person can't debate on the merits of their position, it's time to start name calling. Have a good evening.
