New Haven IN

« on: July 09, 2019, 12:50:40 PM »

A big thanks goes out to John Schmidt for stopping at my home in New Haven this afternoon to see my dad. They had three hours talking together. Dad was looking forward to his visit. He even had me get a 15 year old bottle of scotch from his appartment for them to drink. We left them alone so they could talk so I have no idea what they talked about. Thanks again John....

Well guys, you hit the nail on the head. We talked about gals and motorcycles  Roll Eyes ....that would be OUR gals and how we cared for them, and motorcycles and how we cared for them. In general just some old fashion catching up, I was glad to see Wayne and able to spend a few hours with him. It was right on the way for me and I wasn't going to pass up the chance. Glad I didn't, for me it was a good time well spent but much too short. Here's a picture of two old timers having a good time while toasting our meeting. Wayne, take care my friend, hope not so many years pass before the next meeting.

That's a great photo. This bring to mind one of my favorite songs (link below) ...from the great Roger Miller who recorded it with his "old friends" Willie Nelson and Ray Price. I think many of us can relate...after all is said and done, our lives can be measured by the friends we've made...
