There's a small beach community 4 miles from our house call Point Pleasant Beach where Black Lives Matter will have a protest today at 3 pm.

Don't know where it will lead, or what it will turn into. I doubt they will stay assembled in the large public parking lot. They could make their way up to the boardwalk which is a couple hundred feet away or they could march down the road that runs parallel to the ocean and head north into a neighborhood with small homes or south with basically the same with small businesses mixed in. If they march about 2 miles south they will get into some expensive real estate, a town called Bayhead and then Mantoloking.

Marching west about 1/2 mile will lead them into downtown and tons of small shops and businesses and residential.

This is an white community. Why march here. It's a summer community, small in winter large in summer.

You mean MARTIAL law, and I'm not so sure about that being a good idea. It usually means that the military is providing law enforcement - USA has a LONG tradition of NOT using this except in emergency situations for a short duration specified purpose. Eg. post hurricane strike in New Orleans (Katrina).
Jess (and probably Evan (Oss)) should be able to give us the when and where this should be used (sparingly if at all).

As for Floyd's murder,  yes a tragedy, an arrest and prosecution are underway.  Better to go for the sure conviction 20 yr sentence is the max.  Do not need more riot if no conviction on weak 1st degree
and fed can pile on a charge after as well.

Rioters should be arrested. Upon conviction their right to vote is forfeit as a felon. That is a lot of democratic votes lost forever. Round them all up with the national guard and prosecute them all

My daughter told me she heard the protest was canceled. I can't find anything in the news. I hope she is right. But I also have heard an ANTIFA rally is scheduled for tomorrow about 15 miles from here at a Target shopping parking lot. That's a much bigger town.

Like nobody has died from C19.     Mkchael Baden is considered one of the best forensic pathologists in the field.  I even heard Floyd may have had hard drugs in his system at the time.  Don't hold me to that.  But even if that is true, the drugs didn't cause the neck and back compression.
