I agree except for those wearing masks with their noses exposed.  Those folks get more amusement than respect from me.

And that is the most significant damage being done.   

Honestly, the ones I get a kick out of are the folks driving around in their cars, by themselves with the windows rolled up and wearing their masks.   

I see it all the time.   Saw a biker the other day on I59, riding with a half shell helmet and wearing his mask.   Not sure about that one.

Really ? I NEVER wear a mask in / on my vehicles. MAYBE if I'm questionably with the virus / other respirtory illnesses with strangers, but otherwise - never.  And yes - If I was sick - I'd stay home. Heck _ I would go maskless 100% of the time if it didn't freak so many people out...

Yes, I see that quite often.   I wear a mask when ever required and practice social distancing the vast majority of the time.   But, that's easy for me, I'm not the most social person around here.   With the exception of close friends and family.   Then, I'm a hugger.

At least we can agree to disagree on many things.  Respectfully.  

Three things we can certainly agree upon are being glad your wife's cousin's daughter is showing improvement, no COVID mandates and voting Republican.

Discharged yesterday and doing well. Not too many details just a simple group message out to the entire family. We don't press for info, just take what is sent out as general info until they're ready to talk in detail, it's hectic for them at times.

Excellent news!  
As the numbers show, those with weaker immune systems  are at greatest risk and are the vast majority of victims.   Where or who those folks got their infection from is hard to track but, it's a good bet that it was from someone not practicing known guidelines.

Yes it was excellent news and we're happy for them.

My wife's cousin is an adamant mask proponent and they took special care to quarantine their daughter.

Yes some visitors were allowed in the home as their daughter needs some social interaction but I can assure you precautions were taken for her safety and health, not just by the family but those that visited.

Everyone who knows this family and their daughter knows how delicate she is. Yes the virus got in somehow but I don't believe it would be from someone not following guidelines or the family's request.

The good news is she seems to be improving daily, is home and we are hoping with no lingering side effects. Rett Syndrome is a debilitating disease which makes her easily susceptible to illness, I believe she is considered to be immune deficient. I previously posted a link regarding the disease and I would encourage everyone to read about it, not for sympathy sake but to know about it, it's a terrible thing.

My buddy and his wife, along with me survived Sturgis. Went up to Yellowstone and circled the long way home via Nebraska. Rona was reported at one of the bars I ate at a few times. Even play cards with a lady who said her and her family tested positive for it 2 weeks prior. Wasn't worried a bit. Only wore a mask when yelled at. In my line of work im more scared of other diseases.

during hay fever season when the pollen is crazy I can be found once or twice with a mask in my helmet

Sneezing in a full face is not the way to enjoy a ride, the stuff gets in the helmet no matter what

and pollen in the schnoz at 70+ is really irritating
