I made a spare key, cut it down and fit it inside a black radio knob with two part epoxy. This knob/key is permanently in the fuel key door slot. Looks factory.

I made a spare key as you did for my F6BD which I   I don't mind the gas door near as much as I wish it had the 6th gear.   I'm enjoying Stinger but giving Renegade the attention she needs too

Glad that worked out for you Keith
I couldn't agree more with the sixth gear. My last three bikes since my Valkyrie all had six gears. Feels like a step backwards on the Valkyrie 1800. I'm going to look at a Wing today and that is a concern of mine.

I like it, no need to remove my ignition key. Not that it's difficult or complicates anything. Just not much to personalize on this bike. They are kind of all the same.
