I used this video when I was first working on my bike. I also
have the factory service manual. Anywho... everyone will
have to at least take their tanks off eventually, the air
filter is under there pretty much like the 1500 Valkyrie.
But since the 1800 is fuel injected, the tank is pressurized...
disconnecting the fuel line was new-magic I had to learn.

So... I don't care about power commanders, its just that
this video is handy for watching someone else remove
stuff from the 1800 Valkyrie before you have to do it
your first time.

There might be some other videos of people working on
1800s by now, I haven't looked...

Nice video Mike, thanks for posting :cooldude:
Can you remove the tank for filter change without removing the radiator pods?
If you can't be a good example: be a WARNING!!

I've gone pretty deep, changing out throttle cables and bleeding the clutch lines,
and haven't had to take off the radiators ever. You do have to take off radiator
plastic and screw around with the gas-lid stuff though...

1800 Valks have grown on me over the years in terms of appearance, and 100% of the guys I've talked to who ride them rave about the performance & handling. The addition of either the Corbin bags or these 1500 bags really improves the overall look a lot...and of course the functionality of the bike for longer rides. You've got a beautiful bike here...the 1500 bags look great both from the side and especially from the back end...overall it looks very we done :cooldude:
Is this an addition to your 1500 Valk or a replacement?
