I am just north of tampa. Rain was spotty most of the day but has been constant for a couple hours now. Milton has just reportedly made landfall. My area is getting 60/80 mph wind/gust.
Please Lord continue to keep us and our neighbors safe.
OLDFRT:
Been raining here for hours, Wind gusts are probably in the mid-30s. I think we have seen the worst of it, but I would imagine that the power will go out some time tonight. It will take me less than 10 minutes to finish starting the generator and move the few plugs to power the essentials. Generator will run in excess of 16 hours on one tank, and I have 13 gallons extra on hand.
OnaWingandaPrayer:
It's 4AM now. The wind finally seems to be calming down . Much less wind in the past hour. Waiting for daylight to survey the outside .
Thankyou Lord.

Sorry to leave you all hanging. We are safe and no damage to the house. I have many trees blown over. We had 16+ inches of rain. The soil is just soggy and could not hold the trees. The county road we use was blocked in both directions by multiple trees. But I didnt need to go anywhere I was busy all day picking up limbs . I wont have it all cleaned for weeks. But thats OK. My cousin who lives across the street has a tree service. We spent several hours clearing the road so the power company could get thru. Just a moment ago the power was restored. All is well and God is good.
