Worn plugs on my Valk caused a miss
(1/1)
Robert:
Well I was surprised. My Valk has 37k on the odometer and I took it out the other day and it started to
miss. So I said lets check the basics and sure enough the plugs were burnt way down. I changed the
plugs to iridium at about 5k maybe 6k and I have never seen plugs wear down so quickly. But changed
the plugs that took about 15 minutes and it was good as new. Manual says every 16k change them,
did not think Iridium would need that frequently but Ok.
HayHauler:
Wow! Those are really worn down. 16k Huh?

Yup never have seen that before myself. Was totally shocked but happy in that I changed the plugs and it was good as new. Love this bike.

I’ve replaced my plugs on my F6B once and they still looked like new. I have 72,000 miles on it. My 1800 Valkyrie has 21,000 miles on and I haven’t looked at the plugs yet. And it runs great.
