The intended site is in a state where InZane has previously been held.

That does narrow things down a bit...

But none in Old Mexico.   ;)

Hmm...Colorado maybe or Arkansas. I'd say Wisconsin but it's not west of the Big Muddy. Iowa also falls within the Serkle boundaries.

I'd really like to go this year.  The Mothership has not turned a wheel in 2 years.  The carb o-rings started leaking fuel and I parked it, ordered the parts and then life got busy.  Every time I walk in the garage I feel bad about it so this week I've been rebuilding the carbs and it should be running again by the weekend.  I'm excited like a little kid at Christmas.  I attended InZanes in Morgantown and Billings and I really enjoyed everyone I met there.  See you wherever it turns out to be!

Frisco CO would be great Co location. Plenty of hotels and less traffic to tend with than Dillion up the road.

Trish & I were thinking of skipping InZane this year as it goes west to try and not spend a huge amount of money this year as we get closer to retiring, but if InZane ends up in Colorado or Utah it will be so hard to pass on.  We've only taken the bikes west once in 2017 to Billings.  Looking forward to seeing the new location.  Maybe we will have to fit it in.

I am all the way out in Tampa, FL. I'd like to make it out there sometime but I'm thinking this is going to be a bit far for me to ride. Do some of you fly out there?  :)

I lived in the Orlando area when the first IZ was in Frisco. It was hot but made it out/back so you can too.

I live in Los Angeles but I rode to Morgantown WV and Billings Montana for InZanes.  I wasn't even close to travelling the farthest to get there either.  You can do it, just give yourself plenty of time so it's not a death march.  If you don't want to ride that far, you can fly or drive.  If you decide to trailer your bike, bring your keys.  I don't remember if it was Morgantown or Billings but someone trailered their Valk and forgot the keys.  Pretty much everybody there tried our own keys, hoping to get the guy going but I don't think any of them fit.

Planning on making this InZane regardless of where it is but, something can always make that impossible.   It's happened before.   One just never knows.

Really looking forward to meeting a bunch of you that I've missed meeting at past InZanes and seeing those that are already friends.   I will try to meet every single VRCC member that attends, should you happen to be in my area, please stop me and say hello.   I should be easily identifiable; I'll be riding a Valkyrie Orange and Black in color.  There aren't a lot of those running around.

If the next Inzane ends up in Colorado it's good that it will be mid-week. Traffic has become much heavier along I-70 in just the last few years, especially on weekends. Pavement is crumbling too, as the governor and legislature hate cars and have been siphoning off much of the road budget for bike paths and mass transit.

Utah has replaced Colorado as my favorite state for riding. Light traffic, great pavement, and spectacular scenery make it a riding paradise. Due to the Mormon culture it can be difficult to find an adult beverage in many locations. But while stopping for ice cream while riding home from the Johnson City Inzane in 2007, another VRCC member remarked 'Harley riders stop at bars; Goldwing riders stop at Dairy Queens'.

That's Forrest Gump Point just ahead. It gets busy at times with people pulling over to stand in the middle of the road and pose for photos. The area is spectacular and it's easy to see why countless movies (especially Westerns) were filmed there.

Gotcha.   Last time I rode in the desert, I had a blowout on the back tire of a KZ1000.   Heavily loaded for a long trip.   I do not have pleasant memories of that journey.   No one would slow down or stop to either help or call for help.

So if you draw a latitude line that crosses John Schmidt's city, the intended location is south of that.

Hmmm...Iowa, Colorado, or Arkansas based on an earlier statement: "The intended site is in a state where InZane has previously been held." To the middle of Iowa is just over 1400 miles and the middle of Arkansas is just under 1400 miles so the southwestern part of Iowa could be a consideration, maybe around Council Bluffs. Any spot in the western half of Arkansas would also fall into the 1400 mile range. Both would be in a "generally NE direction." Colorado...not so much since it's almost due north of Surprise so I'm hanging my hat on Arkansas, although Colorado would still be in a NE direction from Surprise.

Well, it's west of John's longitude... which isn't helpful, since you already know it's west of Old Man River.

My wife has agreed to go and she's pretty excited, never having done anything motorcycle related before.  She keeps asking me what it will be like and were it's going to be.  I've shared my experiences at the two InZanes that I attended and she's pretty excited.  As far as location goes, all I can tell her is that it's a certain distance from several people who's location I am unfamiliar with, but it's in a place that it has been before at a time that I didn't attend.  Also, there will likely be pie.  That gets some strange looks.
