Had me concerned for a while, quite a while actually...
Next up, either the Steelers or Texans...

GaryC

Agreed. Not their best game, but a wins a win.

HayHauler

I personally hope it is the Texans, but we aren't really good at post season football.  :(

I expected a higher scoring and a more action packed game. We didn't get that, but I was happy with the win!

The Steelers have been inconsistent this season. But on any given day, Aaron Rodgers has the potential to surprise us with exceptional play. I don't follow the Texans, so I don't know which team the Pats would be more likely to beat. Either way, I hope the Pats beat their next opponent and advance. What an amazing season after the last two. Thank you Mike Vrabel!  :cooldude:

another vegas bookies and team owners scripted game.
pats should have been called for roughing the passer hand/arm to face and head.
all season there were much lesser minor hits such as a finger tip brush to Daks eye shield, immediate call, 1st down and they score.

same for chargers would have been first down and they would have scored.

Well HH, the Texans sure looked like a strong team last night...Possibly knocking Aron Rogers into retirement...
See ya in Gillette Stadium this weekend...

They will have to turn their game up a notch or two against the Texans this weekend Gary....

Impressive, only in the 3rd and 4th quarters, which is usually when they coast.  How does a team win with 3 QB FUMBLES win the game!?!?  Offense needs some work, but the defense carried them to victory last night.
The highlight of the night was the lineman #90 Rankins picking up that Rogers fumble and taking it home!!!

Our offense will have to show up if we are to beat the Pats at home....

Good Luck!!

Wow, the Texans' defensive unit was very impressive in last night's game. They're going to put the Pats offense to the test. It's probably going to be a "nail-biter" watching the game this coming Sunday.  :o

YUP, the Heart attack Texans never disappoint.  If our offense shows up for the game, it should be pretty close.

Again, good luck.

Hopefully both teams bring their A game this Sunday....

ybnorml

Well, it was a game of giveaways / takeaways / turnovers...
Pats outplayed the Texans on both offense and defense...
On to Denver next week, who will be without Bo Nix...

Tony C.

I'd like to think that Denver doesn't have a chance to win without their starting QB. But you never know. Historically, the Pats haven't done well in Denver. That said, I think the Pats are going to the Superbowl.

:cooldude:

I agree Tony...With Denver using quarterback #2, the odds lean more towards N.E. .... Somethings you can never account for are turnovers and injuries...
N.E. needs their staunch defense to set the tone, then let Drake play toss & catch with his receivers...

IDK if they have yet, but the Patriots need to be in Denver NOW.

Mile high acclamation is required.

The speculators are all out now...   "They should have put QB#2 in and given him a shot!!"....
Couldn't HURT.

Good luck to the PATS.  I had a bad feeling about that game....

Thanks HH...It was a defensive battle on both sides. Drake's running proved the difference..

Another Superbowl match up with the Seahawks. It's gonna be another tough one. The Seahawks are 3.5 to 5 points favorites. We may need another "Malcolm Butler" moment to win. Go Pats!

Yep, sure could come down to another "Malcom Butler" play Tony...Not sure my heart can stand it..

Seahawks win.  vegas controlled Refs will help if needed. they owe Seahawks a SB win after they stole their win from them with a bogus penalty call near end of game which gave the stealers the win, since the NFL had a huge celebration event plan for the steelers, coach and the bus were retiring, something with owner and finally won a SB with the coach and fan favorite bus.

and people think games are not scripted.

having west and east coast huge market teams in SB makes the most money for vegas bookies, NFL, networks, merchandise sales etc.

Interesting take. I would call it a wild conspiracy theory, but after the NBA and Baseball scandal it is more than a mere possibility.

NFL and vegas bookies are a multi-billion dollar industry. When I first got out of school was working for this engineering/contruction firm. one of the construction foreman was an actual Bookie, showed me the 4 pg news letter they all used, told me all about the system. then told me to watch a giants/redskins game that was on that wknd. 3pt spread. told me if game is close there will be a penalty to allow a field goal to be kicked so game would be a tie on the pools. it happened just like he told. over the yrs I've watched every game with that mentally. plenty of youtube vids showing the fraud that goes on. "The officiating in Super Bowl XL was met with criticism from members of the media soon after the game, leading NFL Films to rank it as one of the top ten controversial calls of all time"

Can't see anyone betting on that guy's assumption....No sport is free from betting scandals...
I'd venture a guess professional tiddly-winks has bookies and referees judging improperly..!!!
