What's the latest on this snow-ma-gedon about to kick us in the nutz Tony ??
I have seen reports of anywhere between 4 - 6 inches to 12 - 16 inches....
At least it should be a dry snow and easily manageable once it moves on out...

I don't know about y'all, but they are about to shut Houston down Sunday and Monday due to the possibility of ICE on the roads.  I know that no one can drive on ice, but the only places that will be icy will be the overpasses.  If you can find a route that doesn't include any elevated roadways, you can make it to work.
I have never missed a day of work, in my 43 years at this company (as of today, 1/23/26), due to weather.

Stock up on the fire wood and make sure that the oil/coal/natural gas is plentiful and enjoy the time at home.  I sure will.

And, there might just be a football game on Sunday afternoon.

In my area, the snow is forecast to start Sunday morning before noon, continue through the night and well into Monday late morning. A total of 18 to 26 inches is forecast. I'm sure we'll get to 18 inches, which is plenty. With the extreme cold, the snow in my area is forecast to be light and fluffy. So it will be easier to move around and it's less likely that branches will come down and cause power outages. I don't want to lose power and thus heat, when temperatures are in the single digits!

We're as ready as we can be. Plenty of food and drink is stocked. We got plenty of gas for the snow blower. We've got batteries, flashlights, candles and oil lamps if needed. Hopefully, naught. We've got wood for the fireplace, but it's not enough to heat much of the house.

It's going to be difficult for our southern neighbors. Ice storms are the worst with significant potential for wide spread power outages. Houston is far enough south that the ice may not be too bad. But points north like Dallas  and Fort Worth are going to get whacked. Plus the big snow in areas that don't have the resources to quickly clean-up are looking at days to dig out. This will be an historically large and dangerous storm for our country. Stay safe guys.

Sounds like it will start here in the evening Sunday and last until evening Monday...
Doesn't look like we will get the amounts of y'all in Mass., which is fine with me...
Liquor cabinet is stocked, plenty of mixers on shelf, gas cans filled, and snowblower is ready.
We have enough food in the freezer to last a month or so....
Thankfully no ice accumulations....

You may be waiting a while. It's not likely to get above 20 F in your area until maybe Friday. Although from Tuesday on it's forecast to be mostly sunny. Maybe that will help.

A foot of freshly fallen snow on the ground, and is predicted to continue throughout the day..
Light and fluffy, so will be easy to move...

We got 14" of fluffy snow. Even though it was fluffy, it took a long time to clear it with the snow blower because of the large amount.  The snow pack at the end of the driveway was at least 4 ft high and densly packed. I had to knock it down with the shovel so I could clear it with the blower. Took a while for the double wide driveway. We're all cleaned up.

The TV WX folks are talking about another storm for this coming weekend. If so, I'm hoping it's less than 8 inches.

We had another 3 maybe 4 inches come down after we cleaned the driveway yesterday...
Will get the snowblower out again today...Won't take nearly as long as it did yesterday..
I'd venture a guess of close to 16" total....Still no need for Lil' Blu, as the Troy Built just purrs thru it all..
Looks like a nor'easter coming this way for the weekend....This one could be wet and heavy..

The storm is going to miss my area. It's mostly a Cape Cod/Southeastern Mass storm with maybe a little bit of Boston. I'm very happy that's it's going to be a miss for us.
