Passed on at Only 41 years of age1  :'(  I've watched and seen him do stuff in a race many others are NOT capable of! Just yesterday some illness kept him out of his ride for the Coca Cola 600 this weekend. R I P Rowdy!

I was shocked when I heard.  A week or so ago he'd asked his crew to have a Dr. ready when he was done with the race because he was going to need a shot.  I wasn't a fan of his as his ego turned me off when he raced for JGR. But in the last couple years since he's been with RCR he's been humbled quite a bit and I'd started feeling sorry for him and even rooting for him some cuz let's face it RCR isn't running top of the line cars in the cup series.  He was a talented individual when it came to racing with a lot of drive and determination. He'll surely be missed in the Nascar community.  He had 2 young children, the boy he's been working with and is already racing.  My thoughts are with his family & friends.

I'm still waiting to hear what illness took him.  It seems it was very rapid.

I stopped watching NASCAR quite a number of years ago but this is shocking news.

Lots of speculation from severe sinus infection, sepsis, meningitis to embolism or severe pneumonia. Whatever the case that guy could sure turn a wheel. I wasn't a big fan of his but that boy could sure race and do it almost every single lap. He didn't earn the nickname Rowdy for nothing.

Feel bad for his wife, kids, family and friends as well as his fans.

Back when it was still allowed by NASCAR, Kyle would be racing in anything he could get a sponsor for - Cup, BUsch, and Truck - often multiple races in the same weekend. And he was competitive in all of them. I'd call him a racer's racer. Yes, his ego was bit large sometimes, but when you have had his level of success, it's kind of expected.

In Cup Xfinity and Truck Rowdy racked up 234 wins total according to Google. Also according yo google those total wins across all three series is a record. That man could handle a race car!  :cooldude:  RIDE SAFE.

Evidently after winning a race last week, he mentioned it never gets old winning "Because you never know when the last one is."

Reports are coming in it was due to severe pneumonia.

Once I got past his brashness I started to pay attention to him handling a race car. And handle it he Did! Kyle atarted NASCAR Cup in 2004. 762 starts. 234 Victoreis across all three series. 2015 and 2019 Cup Champion. He had amassed 63 wins ib Cup 102 wins in the Oreilly series and 69 truck wins.
Cause of death from Google stated pneumonia which transitioned to sepsis. Also stated he was coughing up blood just before passing. Hope he has fast cars and unlimited tires and fuel!  :cooldude:  R I P Rowdy.

Lots of news and articles being released out there but I came across this one and thought I'd share this kind of behind the scenes article of the Busch brothers.

One part talks about an incident during The All Star Race where the brothers didn't talk to one another for several months and it came down to grandma bringing them back together.

The brothers were tough racers but knew better than to not listen to their grandmother, those are good boys with respect.

" What happened with Kurt Busch and Kyle Busch? Siblings reconciled after a feud stemming from a racing incident"

"The All-Star race has no points. It's all about a million bucks, a million dollars for the winner. There's all that slang and talk and trash talk about how you would wreck your own mom to win a million bucks."

"Comes to the final segment, we're both running in the top five and there is just enough room for me to fit my car underneath Kurt to make it three wide down the front stretch... And he says there wasn't enough room there, which, the fact of the matter was, I got there, so there was enough room there..."

"He [Kyle] is beyond the low groove and I'm like, really wait a minute. And when I pinned him down a little bit, of course, he lost control of his car, and then I'm trying to get out of the way and he ends up clipping me."

For over half a year, the brothers visited their grandmother separately and at one point, she declared they needed to put the feud "behind them." Kurt mentioned:

"She's like boys, I need my boys. I don't need this animosity. I don't need this stress level at the dinner table. You boys need to put that behind you. And it was okay, yes, Grandma."

Never been a fan of Kyle Busch's personal side, nor Kurt for that matter, but both could drive a race car.

I remember when Kyle took out another driver in a truck race on purpose I believe, and it seemed the powers that be at M&M sat his team down and had a little talking too.

Maybe his competitive sprint played a part in his demise by not letting him slow down some and get help for the pneumonia.

He certainly had a fast and short but satisfying live.

I remember an interview with Kurt when he was driving for Roush I believe. The interviewer was praising Kurt's driving skills and he replied "If you think I'm good wait til you see my brother"

Indeed.
