For those of you that used/still use the Audiovox cruise control.

Do you recall what was used for pulse input? Seems to me the only thing I had hooked up was the dark blue wire to #3 coil, it had a noise suppressor integrated in the wire which was required to be left intact. I can't seem to find the answer in all my old papers I've printed out over the year but I'm quite certain the coil connection sufficed as an ICM input.

Here's the installation link Shoptalk Audiovox Install  But if you don't want to read it I think your right.  Blue wire to any coil on the negative side.

"3. Blue wire: Connect to the NEGATIVE side of ONE ignition coil only.
Note: Depending on which coil you choose, the wire will be either yellow/red, yellow/blue or yellow/white)."

Thanks guys, I have the schematic but didn't have Normand's write-up. That helps! I'm not sure the coil will give enough pulses for the Rostra unit to work effectively but I plan to give it a try. Sure would make things easier with the installation of the Rostra unit. I don't know how sensitive it is to what seems like low pulse numbers. What I found interesting is the handlbar control switches for the Audiovox unit are the same as the Rostra control, and Audiovox is better built. I'll post here on the success or problems with the installation.

(I have to chuckle a bit that John Schmidt is credited with helping make the writeup he's now using... :) )
