I realize this is a very location limited inquiry, but you never know until you ask. Are there any shops in the Lexington Kentucky area that will mount a car tire on a motorcycle rim?

Maybe a shop will be too hard to locate, but a member here
Might be willing to assist. There's guys in TN with tire machines
Who may be persuaded :-X Might cost a beer or 12, if they see

Thanks, I know a Goldwinger in Crossville that would do it and more but I'm up against the time crunch for Inzane even though I may not use it on that trip.

So I rolled the dice and went to Richmond Motorsport and talked to the service manager. Could have knocked me over with a feather when he said he would. I had used them on motorcycle tires before but never thought they were so open minded.

Glad you found someone to get it done... I've luckily found a mobile motorcycle mechanic near me that does it without any issues, even did it in my driveway for I think it was $20 extra...

Really frustrating how many places refuse to do it, but then again a lot of motorcycle shops refuse to mount a tire if you didn't buy it from them too...
Never ask a geek 'Why?',just nod your head and slowly back away...

I have had some problems in the past, all overcome with friends.
Two weeks ago I went to Big O Tires with the rim and a bag of beads and they said,"No problem."  I never had to say where it was going. They were unable to balance the tire is why I had the beads, not for trading. One never know until they ask.

My guy doesn't like beads! :tickedoff:

Glad you got it fixed!
Couple years ago I had an emergency in Indiana, needed a replacement rear tire. Bought a car snow tire at independent tire shop. They mounted with almost no questions asked and I was able to salvage my trip   :smitten:
