My Oath

    I Dennis H. Patterson do solemnly swear that I will support and defend the Constition of the United States against All enemies, foreign and domestic, that I will bear true faith and alleianceto the same,and that I will obey the orders of the President of the United States and the orders of the Officers appointed over me,according to regulations and the Uniform Code of Justice. So help me GOD.
    If the wording is not correct blame Google! Also the-So help me GOD in many sites was in parenthesis like the site might could be afraif to mention GOD. Also found out since Sep 2014 under 44 the So help me GOD was no longer mandantory.    And to this very day I feel like That OATH I took Willingly in Feb of 1964 is STILL in effect. Bit over 62 years ago now. And to All my Brothers and Sisters who have Paid with the Ultimate Sacrifice a Heart Felt THANK YOU. And you may Stand Down now We Will take it fro here! May GOD Bless everyone one of y'all.
    And has been stated here before-FREEDOM ain't FREE! freedom has a taste the protected will Never Know.

Dennis, I firmly agree.  The oath I took in December 1967 is still the oath I believe in and support fully.

I don't remember there being an expiration date on that oath.

I'm not the young whipper snapper that I was in July of 1982 when I took it.

But, if my country were to ever again need my services I would do so to the best of my ability (which might not be much).

I'd agree completely. But , things would have to pretty dire indeed for me to get called back to Active Duty - I'm 65, Type 2 Diabetic, and I'm in constant back pain.

     I already KNOW were I to again be on an Operational fligh deck I'd would NOT under any circumstances be of any use to anyone. At 81 do NOT move as well as I used ta did. While I ain't fer sure me Attempting to pick up an aircraft chock and 2 chain tie downs would Not end well fer me or the aircraft. Course I can Still hit center mass when needed. RIDE SAFE.
