Lois and I have definitely found that less is becoming more for us when it comes to motorcycle vacations. It's probably a senior thing. With that in mind we will likely stay pretty close to Eureka Springs when we head out on the bike. Probably a lot of out and back routes finding back county roads that look good when possible. The area looks great but will be all new to us. With that in mind I setup this map to help keep us on track especially as we head east on some of the county roads out toward Peels Ferry.

The things that are currently on our list are:
Beaver Lake Dam and Little Golden Gate Bridge at Beaver
War Eagle Grist Mill area south of Beaver Lake
Peels Ferry via county roads – Lunch at "Lake Time Pizza & Pub"

Please comment with additional suggestions if you are familiar with the area. I obviously know about the Pig Tail and will likely run it on the way home.

If you want to use this map, load it in your phone when you have a signal and your location will show up as a gray dot. I use touch screen gloves to zoom in and out and keep my location on the phone screen. Often I just keep my phone in my pocket and stop and pull it out if I think l missed a turn. As long as the map is loaded on the phone you should not need cell towers to see your location. If I want the map to stay up with the phone on my handle bar holder I also run Google maps, minimized, routing to the final destination.  That keeps the phone from going to sleep and gives me a fast time to destination.  If I feel I'm wasting too much time on county roads, I can follow the Google maps GPS route.
