$41.50 per year for the "modern" motorcycle (I pay more than that 'cause I've got a vanity plate)
The Republic dropped inspections for motorcycles a year or two ago.
We also don't have property tax on vehicles, the idea of that is foreign to me.

For my Valk since I registered it as an antique motorcycle, the cost is $50 for 5 years.

Just renewed my Valk.  $70 for two years.  No inspections required.  That goes for all our vehicles. If we lived on the westside of the Cascades Mountains, we would be required to get them.

I'd looked into antique tags for my former 99 I/S. Very restrictive on the miles allowed annually on those here in Missouri. Course the 12 G/W got aways to go fer antique tags. Myself though I are already an antique! According to Google 25 years or older for antique tags! I'm triple that with some change to spare!  :2funny:  RIDE SAFE.

Just paid $27.00 for two years in Wisconsin. I did not get the Collector plate. It is less expensive.

california is $164 a year, and these days it goes up every year.  gas is the real pain here though.  $7 a gallon and people are riding electric bikes all over the place.  we only need inspections if titling an out of state bike.  we have a 7,500 mile rule here.  You can't register an out of state bike with less than 7,500 miles.  that's the level of genius you enjoy with the sun and sea and natural air conditioning.  just realized i do ride about 350 days a year though.  so lots of road time for my bigger fees.  gotta see the bright side in life.  numbers don't make memories like motorcycles do.

I'm a bit bewildered.  What is their thinking with having a minimum mileage for registering a bike from out of state?

Remember when vehicles had 49 state versions and special California versions (Valk included)?

This rule was to discourage Californian residents from going out of state to get the (Simpler, less expensive) 49 state version of a vehicle then bringing it to California.
